  1. The version above I talked about happened around 2009-ish, so three! It had Jaime Ray Newman, Rebecca Romijn, and Lindsay Price. (With, again, Paul Gross as the male lead.) So some soap cred with the cast. (The write up also mentions Sara Rue, but she wasn't one of the three main women. Dailymotion has some episodes up, so maybe I'll check them out again and refresh my memory.)
  2. @Wendy's HUNTER Connection HUNTER "Where Echoes End" Edward Gibbs 10/3/1990 As always, @slick jones, thank you! This whole project is so daunting. I admire all your cataloging of these actors and all the work put into it!
  3. Oh, yay! More bloodshed by the gun nuts on the way thanks to the GQP Kangaroo Court...
  4. Huh! And my parents married exactly one week later, on May 18, 1965! (A wedding planned in hours, no less! And in my mom's church.) How cool to read stuff from that time frame!
  5. Not only is the issue of saving women's lives with abortion still hanging, so is whether a POTUS is a king, since this crew is pondering presidential immunity. Today's ruling regardless, this so-called SCOTUS is a s-h-i-t-show of the highest order.
  6. Why? WHY? That about covers it.
  7. I remember him! (Thanks - as always - for the shout out! That episode actually gave the late Charles Hallahan [Capt. Devane] a pretty decent-sized story.)
  8. Yep. As I said, I mixed up the networks. And edited my original post.
  9. I knew there was another one besides "Lipstick Jungle" but could not remember the title! So I did a Google search and...voila! The show, "Cashmere Mafia", debuted the same year as "Lipstick Jungle"! It was actually "Cashmere Mafia" that was on ABC per Google. "Lipstick Jungle" was on NBC. My bad. While this was not a clone of SATC, I also recall the short-lived series, "Eastwick", based on "The Witches of Eastwick", that involved three women who were enthralled by a debonair guy who just happened to be the devil. (In the movie, he was played by Jack Nicholson! On the short-lived ABC series, Paul Gross of "Due South" fame played the role! Jaime Ray Newman, ex-Kristina Sr., GH, played one of those three women.) Will edit my other post, just for completeness' sake!
  10. "Lipstick Jungle" on NBC was the obvious broadcast TV answer to HBO's "Sex and The City". And "Lipstick Jungle", if I recall, was the title of a book by Candace Bushnell...who was the one to write about "Sex and The City" before it became a TV series. (I believe Carrie Bradshaw was the Candace Bushnell surrogate in the TV show. Even the same initials.) Full circle, as it were.
  11. As one that never really got into the backstage drama at GH (save for Patrick Mulcahey exiting, damn it...sigh!), I have to say Frank Valentini looked ill last night. Maybe I'm wrong, but something was definitely off. On another topic, I am thrilled for Dick Van Dyke and his win! With that said, what I am about to say will be controversial as I think he won because...well, he is a legend, and had less to do with Days' writing itself. It occurred to me that with the exception of that win, the show was shut out again. I will be controversial and say that while camp can be fun, it obviously doesn't win awards. And with Ron back, I fear that will continue. Wondering if the new hire will balance Ron's love of silliness with some gravitas? Not saying the show needs to be a History Channel documentary, but the show has never escaped its reputation as a lightweight once JER started with possessions and such, and Ron seems content to keep that going. Seeing 1960s/'70s/even early '80s Days clips next to current day, it almost seemed like another show altogether.
  12. And in other dumbass MAGA idiocy, Greta van Susteren, she who is so bereft of any integrity that even Faux Noise dispensed of her (she apparently is at (Not)Newsmax now!), was almost orgasmic regarding the jury nullification that wasn't. Thankfully, TwitX was quick to burst her bubble, including Adam Kinzinger.
  13. Janis Paige was too young to play the mother of Nicolas Coster, but in a vacuum, she did do a great job in putting her spin on the role of Minx. May Janice Paige rest in peace.
  14. Just coming to post about Janis Paige, myself! While I am one of those that thought Paige was too young to play Minx, she did a great job with what she had. And to live to 101 is fortunate, indeed! May she rest in peace.
  15. Well, this certainly explains the Fauci dragging hit piece on WaPo. What a downfall of a once-great paper.
  16. Wow. All this talk about Martha Byrne's husband made me curious, so I did a Google dive. I guess it is on brand for Martha to defend Dump, considering hubby was working for the freaking Chinese government! I had no idea he was in such deep doo doo. From what I read, he has yet to be sentenced but faces 20 years in prison. All I ever recalled from the soap mags was he was a cop. So much for that. Bye bye!
  17. Ron's reliance on old tropes and campiness by the truckload, will again make the show a joke. A little camp is fine, but Ron has never learned that less is more.
  18. From your lips (keyboard?) to the voters' minds/ears...
  19. Guilty on ALL 34 COUNTS. It's GLORIOUS. TwitX is melting down as we laugh. And just for posterity, Martha Byrne can kindly STFU and take a stadium of seats.
  20. Great episode! 😊 I continue to feel seen. LOL! Thanks for another shout out!
  21. They must have hung on to this idea for a bit. I recall seeing a clip from 1982 with Catherine Mary Stewart's Kayla telling someone - I think it may have been Marlena? - about her absent brother Marcus. Obviously, by the time he showed up in 1983, he was Beauregard/Bo. Although someone must have liked the name Marcus, since the character of Marcus Hunter did come later on...
  22. Never even heard of this referenced! Great find. Makes me curious how many more pilots like this are floating around somewhere...
  23. I read that Lane was on elsewhere, too. I was going to watch LD/NLG [they always deliver!], but with the recent news, I don't want to invest just to have the proverbial rug pulled out from under me here, so I'll just read and smile. (Mega Mason/Julia fan that I am/was.)
