I love how this show is painting Brook Lynn as some mustache-twirling villain, with Maxie as a voice of morality, when BL’s the hero of the story for most of us. Marcus Coloma isn’t a bad actor, but he’s ill equipped to navigate the light and shade (Laura’s brightness and the Cassadine darkness) of Nikolas IMO. The longer he’s on the show, the more miscast I feel he is.

I will *never* be a fan of Ashley, although I recognize what she brings to the show. I’m glad the editors noted her hypocrisy concerning Michael Darby’s outlandishly inappropriate behavior upon meeting the ladies. Not to mention his sexual harassment of cast and crew…

Admittedly I haven’t been giving the show my full attention, but I noticed new bumpers with Camryn Grimes, Bryton James, and Cait Fairbanks. Have they done new intro shots too? Is Lauren just gonna huff and puff or is she gonna give some teeth to her verbal attacks on Sally? Bryton is such a great actor. This show is lucky to have him. He shines in throwaway scenes, like today’s with Mark Grossman.

I wasn’t into it either, but Brandy is the MVP IMO. The ladies are all good, but I feel like I’ve seen it all before a gazillion times. And it needs to be on streaming or cable, so we can really see them cuss each other out. It’s too prissy and PG for a soapy hip-hop series.

Joyce Guy is so Zen while Vernee is such a firecracker. I’d love to see how they’d play off each other’s energy.

Indeed. A problem on all these shows, but ESPECIALLY on B&B. They certainly should have been peppering in Carter/Katie scenes before this. Even just giving Quinn some bitchy run-ins with Katie that Carter witnessed would have been better.

I think it’s a huge problem with the show. The newer professional dancers haven’t been properly introduced. In the past, we had the two episodes a week, which gave them more space to do more professionals-only dance performances, etc. I almost feel like they should cut the cast to 10 or fewer due to the fewer episodes. It would feel less rushed. Interestingly, DWTS beat The Voice on Monday in the demo and tied with 9-1-1 for tops on the night. The Voice tends to wane after the blind auditions, but still.

Could be. It reads as somewhat puzzling. But these things are subjective. These are soaps, after all, and shirtless hunks have been part of the deal for as long as I can remember. JT isn’t bad, but he doesn’t exactly scratch the same itches as Shemar Moore, Don Diamont, Nick Scotti, Josh Morrow, J. Eddie PECK, Scott Reeves, Eddie Cibrian, Thad Luckinbill upon his last return, KSJ, early Doug Davidson, Philip Moon, CLB, Justin Hartley, et al. (Or Ron Carlivati’s parade of himbos on DAYS, Carter/Thomas/Finn on B&B, Drew/Brando/Curtis/Chase/Dante on GH—although GH has become slightly more demure lately, save for Cameron Mathison’s bruised/bloodied torso on constant display lately.)
