I wish I were happy with GH, as it has many of the ingredients to be good, but I find it a frustrating, disjointed, misguided, deeply unsatisfying show that could theoretically be decent but chooses not to be. None of these shows have the momentum for me to “tune in tomorrow.” I’m waiting for the next crop of streaming soaps or for the existing network shows to move to streaming permanently.

I can’t give any of these shows a passing grade these days either. It’s a bleak, uninspired landscape IMO.

I know a four-part reunion seems excessive for Potomac, but these women deliver. If Askale wanted another season from that reunion performance, she failed. She doesn’t seem like a reality-TV personality anyway, so it’s all for the best. Team Wendy.

What happened to Berrettini? Seeing tweets that he really injured himself in the Zverev ATP Finals match…. Ok he retired and Sinner (another Italian) will replace him, which I guess is good for the home crowd:

Big work projects occupied me the past few weeks but popping in:

Yeah. I’d love to have been a fly on the wall when Patrick was ripping them a new one. When he says “not very nice,” you know he went for the jugular.

He pinpoints Reign Edwards as an actress he loved. B&B did her dirty. She could have easily been a lead on that show. He says aspiring soap writers should hitch their wagons to serials being made for Amazon, YouTube, etc., as he’s not optimistic for the network shows. Pointed out EastSiders (with Van Hansis and Constance Wu) as an example, a show I really liked in its first season, but the second season lost me. He says he was “not very nice” to Anne Howard Bailey on SB and Richard Culliton on GH. What’s funny is that Alan actually showed *some* restraint in this interview, but still it’s like he has no intuition about interacting with people in interviews. LMAO. Patrick is kinda dragging Tony Geary (in a subtle way). When Patrick was talking about managing egos on GH, Alan interrupted him with a mention of the 40th anniversary of Luke and Laura. Gawd. Hilarious that he and his husband are both named Patrick Mulcahey (his husband is named Patrick and took PM’s last name).

This is a great interview, but the technical issues really mar it. And Alan’s inability to know when to shut the fûck up.

Sara Al Madani is Emirati and Nina Ali is Lebanese, which, if this is for real, indicates Bravo isn’t as foolish as I thought, and they did at least try to reflect the society in which the show is set.

Which would be lame af. Are we gonna have another gun pointed at Peter that doesn’t go off and hit its mark? Stop teasing us!
