  1. This show is SO poorly produced these days. They had so much filler during the finale, including a long clip package at the end, that they nearly ran out of time before Tyra even announced the winners. (They were running the end credits before she opened the envelope, then the mirrorball trophy was all the way across the stage. Tyra was like, “Oh wait, I need to give them the trophy!” ABC cut to The Good Doctor before that even happened. 😂)
  2. Off this week, so got my Moderna booster today (I’d gotten my second full Moderna dose in May). I do agree with the below to an extent, although the people in my life seemed to get boosted long before it was even recommended.
  3. Yeah, Susan Sontag made the distinction between “naive” and “deliberate” camp. John Waters would mostly fall into the latter category.
  4. This is the jam.
  5. These ladies are all wretched human beings, so it’s hard to pick a side. But at least they bring it, unlike the BH ladies.
  6. Y&R: Phillip Chancellor III: simply because of Thom Bierdz’s chaotic offscreen life, Y&R’s historical reluctance to do those types of back-from-the-dead stories, and because he’d been “dead” for so many years. I also figured if they were going to undo the “Cane is P3” story, they’d simply keep P3 dead. P3’s excuse for faking his death was ridiculous, of course. OLTL: Victor Lord: For that absurd “Heart of a Lord” story. I’m too young to have seen the original Victor alive and well, but his death in the ‘70s loomed over Michael Malone’s first HW tenure, when I started watching. Sad to see him undo the great story he’d written. AMC: Billy Clyde Tuggle and Dimitri Marick in the online revival
  7. Adele really took a turn away from the big piano ballads and Dusty Springfield retro soul for a more contemporary, impressionistic R&B style. I hear a lot of Solange influences on this new album. I wonder how her soccer mom fanbase will respond. A friend of mine who’s an Adele stan HATES this album. The release of “Easy On Me,” which was in her familiar style, was a real bait-and-switch.
  8. I was actually shocked at how bad James Patrick Stuart was. He’s usually reliable, even though I don’t care for Valentin. I don’t think the writing did them any favors either.
  9. The Big 3 are the real yardstick, and Cam Norrie has been outclassed by all three this year.
  10. I have no sympathy for Valentin. He deserves all the heartache he gets.
  11. Steve Burton is on The Talk right now. He just gave a tribute to Stuart Damon and was shuffled off. (They are doing the SoapHub Awards, and he was voted Favorite Actor.)
  12. JMW is pregnant again. She announced it on today’s episode of The Talk. I hope they don’t write it in.
