  1. Trina might as well be observing these two from across the street.
  2. I disagree. I think it's obvious what will bring in ratings, but ABCD and Frank simply won't do it.
  3. It figures that former "Night Court" writers Gary Murphy and Larry Strawther wrote and produced that POS.
  4. That's possible. But I suspect that Frank was in no rush to GET JJ back until everyone BTS began panicking about the ratings, forcing Frank to make some maneuvers he otherwise wouldn't have made - such as cutting ME loose - in order to free up salary and space for JJ. If Frank actually allows JPS to be written out for good, with no hope of redemption for Billy Joel, then I'll KNOW someone at ABC is holding Frank's ass to the fire.
  5. Once upon a time, there was a chance to tell a story that, in effect, would explain Leo to the audience, but they blew that chance for some ridiculous Diana Colville return that went absolutely nowhere.
  6. YES!! My vote's still for another school bus accident, something that could take out several kids and become an umbrella storyline for the show, like in Russell Banks' novel, "The Sweet Hereafter." I wish! Chances are, though, he'll just regenerate into another new character, "Doctor Who"/Frank Valentini style.
  7. I think that was due to the change in EP's, from Robert Calhoun to Laurence Caso. I don't remember the Calhoun period being so sedate, lol. I wish I COULD forget it, lol!
  8. Believe me, @Vee, I know how you feel. Haters are gonna hate, but I'm convinced that the only reason why Finn, Drew, Nina and even Ava "work" even a little bit now is due to PM's influence.
  9. According to Jeffrey Stepakoff, who worked on "Dawson" from seasons 3-5, Litvack blurted that out during a story pitch meeting. Actually, Litvack said, "I don't care about that..." and you know the rest.
  10. In my wildest dreams... ABC: "You want Mulcahey out? Get rid of Easton!" Frank: "But he's my best friend!" ABC: "Mulcahey or Easton, Frank. Those are our terms." Frank (mumbles): "Oh, alright."
  11. Wow, John Litvack. The man who, as head of scheduling and programming at the (now-defunct) WB Network, infamously once called Michelle Williams of "Dawson's Creek" a "chipmunk-cheeked c*nt."
  12. I'm all for a character who is redeemed or reformed by love, but Leo??
  13. IIRC, it was the Jamal storyline that helped AMC finally win a Best Drama Series Emmy in 1992.
  14. You're welcome! It's ironic how all three actors in that commercial worked with Bob Newhart at one point or another.
  15. It might have been too expensive to update whenever needed, but I would have preferred a montage of scenes set to the show's original theme song.
  16. Or, it'll lead to Frank hiring a bunch more people to play members of his family, thereby expanding GH's cast to 1000 actors strong. Time will tell.
  17. Something tells me it would have to take a lot more than JJ coming back to lure TG out of retirement. Especially when we know how...displeased he was with the writing for Luke toward the end of his run, lol.
  18. It just irks me to no end how Frank refuses to allow anyone to leave his show, even when the storyline dictates it. You could be an under-five, simply delivering pizza to the nurses at GH during their lunch break, and I guarantee Frank will see to it that you're featured every week and in a relationship with Lucy.
  19. IIRC, CBS signed Angela Lansbury, Corymore Productions and Universal to a deal to produce several TV movies as compensation for cancelling MSW. However, after "South by Southwest" failed in the ratings - a failure that I chalk up to poor promotion - Team Lansbury/Universal had a helluva time coming up with a story for the second movie that CBS liked; and for a time, it looked as if the rest of the deal would be cancelled. Then, Lansbury/Corymore contacted former writer/producer J. Michael Straczynski, who wrote "A Story to Die For," which did well enough for CBS to green-light the last two movies.
  20. I think it was Linda Bloodworth-Thomason who remarked about how strange it was to see CBS turn from a network that celebrated independent women (Lucy and Ethel, Mary and Rhoda, Maude, Murphy Brown, Cagney & Lacey, etc.) into "Dead Hooker TV" or something along those lines.
  21. To me, Lucky and Liz were done as a couple the day he told her he should've left her to die in the snow. IDC how angry Lucky was with Liz at that moment. IMO, he crossed a line when he said that.
