  1. Thank God she got her hair and teeth fixed. I remember when I saw the DVD in the store for ATL's first season and I'm like WHAAAAT? THAT'S NeNe?!?
  2. Yup. As each series continues on, they find new ways to keep the originals relevant, which ends up with some really ugly bitter bitches. (NYC being the strongest example) Aside from Atlanta (which had a great Season 3), it seems each franchise seems semi-realistic (as opposed to straight-up manufactured drama) for only the first two years. After that, they really spin it and manipulate it so that the same women can still have story and potential catfights. As someone who just started watching all these a year ago but played catch-up (you can buy previous seasons for cheap at Target!), it was quite disappointing to see New Jersey fall apart in its 3rd season. I loved the entanglements of Caroline, Jacqueline, Teresa, Dina, and that crazy loonatic Danielle. But boy, season 3 (aside from it dragging endlessly) really turned Teresa into an ugly character. I just wonder what a third season will bring for Beverly Hills...
  3. Yeah that was quite ridiculous. I'm surprised neither Kandi, Sheree, or Phaedra called her out on that right then & there. Certainly Sheree would've wanted to stir the pot?
  4. I love how everyone has giant heads. LOL
  5. Overall, who do you think the viewers' favorite housewife is from each show? Atlanta: Phaedra currently, used to be NeNe Beverly Hills: Lisa. Adrienne used to be the underdog, until the reunion show... New Jersey: ? New York: ? OC: Probably Vicki
  6. I gotta agree. The Africa episodes sans Kim did not phase me in the least. Didn't miss her. In terms of RH cycles, wouldn't New York be next to air after Atlanta is done? Even though New Jersey season 4 was already filmed like 10 years ago. Melissa Gorga is nice, but fake, and definitely wanted to ride along the coattails of her sister-in-law's success. Does Teresa look like the bad guy in all this? Oh yes. But Melissa was looking to cash in. And all that Jesus crap... "that saved a WENCH like me!" Lord ha'mercy...
  7. How so? I didn't remember Shirley Jones playing Megan's mom. Had to google that just now
  8. I agree with what others have said, that even an Atlanta episode with no significant events happening is still fun to watch. Ugh to that Cynthia having to point out the obvious "look, we're bonding! We're all getting along" which makes everything awkward all over again instead of just enjoying the moment for what it is. I can't help but wonder if producers coax them to do that though. Omigod... Sheree looked so desperate, stirring the pot with Kandi & Kim, in an attempt to stay relevant ("please bring me back for season 5! I need the money!"). Marlo can go. Did she provide drama for the vacation? Oh yes. But she is so not needed as a regular player on this show. I don't care for her personality at all. I enjoyed the whole season of Beverly Hills, I didn't feel like it dragged at all, the way New Jersey's last season did. OC is okay, but half of it I fast-forward through. Vicki is cool, but I'm not totally enticed to watch her. Tamra is indeed vile, she looks like a rusty nail, just hard edged and jagged. Alexis is the absolute worst. So ignorant, with her head stuck up her husband's ass. I cannot stand that woman. Heather is way too pretentious. That whole "you're so cute" thing she did to Gretchen was so ridiculously condescending, and I'm glad Gretchen noticed that. Gretchen... gotta agree with JackPeyton... she's the best. I love her personality and what she has to say. I don't even mind that she's friends with Alexis, cuz the rest of her makes up for that.
  9. Looks like I'm gonna be roped into watching this one with the hubby (okay, so I willingly sat down when it came on...). The whole set-up with Heather and Tamra casually meeting thru business and Tamra inviting her to come to Vicki's party was so forced, acted, and unnatural. Why can't they just call a spade a spade and plop Heather onscreen with an introduction like it's a brand new Housewives franchise ("I'm married to such-and-such, we have this many kids, we live in this big a house..." etc.) instead of pretending like this all happened organically. I love Gretchen. I don't care what she did, or who she did it to, I just like her. Tamra, from what I've seen in reruns, *used* to be the pretty ingenue of the group, but now she looks like she was rode hard and put away wet. She looks like a real ugly manipulator. Although I loved the fight scene from last season when she threw the wed wine in the face of that frumpy ex-housewive Geena. Alexis, good Lord is she a bimbo. There's nothing more obnoxious than an airheaded bible-beater. That local news segment was embarrassingly bad! I can only imagine what the anchors and all the behind-the-scenes people must think of her coming on to their show to do segments. I don't know all the dynamics of Alexis and Peggy, but it makes no sense for Alexis to berate Peggy for not telling her about her previous relationship with Alexis' husband. That's the hubby's responsibility, not the friend. Vicki, the lone veteran from the very beginning, is fun. I like her. I can see why she's lasted the whole time. Great fun personality.
  10. I so agree. They have hit their Moldavian Massacre and it's going to slowly decline. Some may linger in mediocrity (OC, Atlanta) but I wouldn't be surprised if others (BH, Jersey) really fall apart. Adrienne has really done a 180 and her bitter jealousy is showing loud & clear. Kyle, I can't defend anymore. For as much as I enjoy her, her motives and jealousy are also very clear. Taylor is just a money-seeking wreck and a lousy person overall. Watching her on WWHL is just uncomfortable and awkward. I really hope they don't bring her back just out of pity because she needs the money, because she's toxic to this show. Brandi's comments were spot on. She owned everything she said, and she was honest with all her own actions. Love her. Camille came to Lisa and Brandi's defenses at the right moments. The only thing Camille said that I didn't agree with was when she thought the "Maloof Hoof" was in poor taste. It wasn't. It was a cute play on words that Lisa is famous for and does so deliciously well.
  11. When I started watching B&B in 1996, it seemed like that whole clan was just a time filler more than anything substantial. Once they gave Macy something to do, I liked them more. I also liked Darla & Thorne together, but they became too comfortably happy; never a good thing in the soap world.
  12. I loved how Adrienne was so inquisitive when Brandi mentioned that some girls were talking about Lisa behind her back, and Adrienne kept asking her to narrow it down to who specificially she was referring to until Brandi eventually said "You!" and the look on that woman's face was one of pure guilt. Adrienne is full of jealousy for Miss Lisa. And Kyle? God only knows what her problem is other than to keep the show hoppin' with drama for a guaranteed season three.
  13. I love her new song, it is so damn catchy The Superbowl halftime show was WONDERFUL. Highly entertaining, energetic, great music, just awesome. Most everyone in my circle of friends via Facebook loved it, except for the occasional few who insist on making it a Madonna vs. Lady Gaga war. There IS no war, expect in the minds of some Gaga fans.
  14. Love. What was wrong with Hard Candy?
  15. Me too, I gotta admit. Girlfriend doesn't have a dime.
  16. Wow, Adrienne is a full-on jealous catty bitch. I'm totally over her. She'll never have the class, grace, wittiness, wealth, restaurant, or cute lil' dog like Lisa. She'll never be queen bee.
  17. Ugh, I hope Andy Cohen pulls a NYC on her and doesn't invite her to the next season. She's poison.
  18. Yes it looks like they're ganging up on Lisa at the reunion, and there's whispers online that people (i.e. Kyle) are turning their backs on her. And to that I say, "who the eff cares." She's fabulous and in a league way above any of the rest of 'em. They can mock her appearance on CNN as a royal wedding "expert", but guess what, she pulled it off beautifully. I'm guessing it'll be Adrienne & Lisa that have not-so-nice things to say about Lisa, though I would think Taylor would be pro-Lisa since she so desperately wanted to be her friend. Camille will be neutral, as she was all season long. I definitely think this season was can't-miss all the way through. It certainly did not drag on & on & on like New Jersey did (how many Christmas-themed episodes were there? Oy...) I'll most likely get Season 2 on DVD when it comes out. Can't say the same for new Jersey's Season 3.
  19. Out of courtesy, yes, it would've been right to inform Phaedra, who's supposedly organizing it, even though Bravo is paying (and organizing) for the trip. Meanwhile, I hear the New York ladies are up to vacation No. THREE (!) for their upcoming season.
  20. Pretty interesting how they overhauled the cast in the early 80's. Imagine if a soap had done that anytime in the last 15 years and there would've been such outcry. This, and Y&R's phasing out of their original families, simply would not be tolerated by soap fans of the last 15 years.
  21. I agree. It's getting to be forced in many aspects, a la the New York ladies. Despite her behavior this season, NeNe is *the* reason so many people watch this show, but you can tell she's over it, and the reduced camera time and the reduced interaction between her and the other girls is making for ho-hum TV. I think Bravo fears and knows that without Miss Leakes, ATL will be one big snoozefest with nothing to buzz about. Phaedra is cute & funny, but can't lead a show. Kandi is cool, but she's not *that* interesting. Even during the show's best moments, Kim is only half as funny and entertaining as NeNe. Cynthia's story is just a time filler and Sheree doesn't even *have* a story. Or money.
  22. I always wondered why Jerry ver Dorn was chosen to do the tribute to Charita Bauer. At the time in 1985, he had only been on the show for 6 years. Was all of GL's cast from the 70's and beforehand gone by 1985 that ver Dorn was already the most senior castmember?
  23. Brandi definitely did the best thing she could do: just stand there and let the crazy person be crazy. You can't argue with stupid, nor can you argue with crazy. There's no point. Brandi did the right thing. Even Kyle had to apologize for her sister's actions. The scenes with Taylor & Russell in the limo driving to the party were uncomfortably fake. Very set up, like they were instructed to recap events and discuss certain topics so that the show would have something to cut back 'n forth to in between party scenes. Russell always looks so uncomfortable on camera. Just an awkward, awkward man. Taylor definitely is all kinds of sick and delusional. Her estranged hubby's suicide is secretly a blessing in disguise for her because she can cash in on the grief and alleged abuse and make money for herself. Meanwhile, Lisa's hair style at the party took 15 years off her age! Very stunning! I like Kyle's home because it's glamourous and spacious, but yet intimate and quaint at the same time. Also, wherever it is that Kim now lives, her window views are fabulous!!
  24. Sheree is such a joke. I have thought this for so long, but last night took the cake when Sheree strutted her entitled ass into Cynthia's wannabe model agency and acted like she was f##kin royalty and said Cynthia should've known better than to have poor air conditioning because she knew She[male] by Sheree would be gracing them with her presence. It's reported everywhere in realityblogland that Sheree has no money (50K net worth? Guess my mom could be on this show too!), the house we see her "living" in is done solely for the purpose of the show (nice furniture... oh wait, her son's sleeping on the floor!). This woman has no real job, no talent, and half-asses any of her so-called business prospects. When she did SheMale by Sheree, she expected it to be flawless and was so hard on everyone else for not executing what her so-called vision was, but what did she do to get the job done? She didn't even do the work for putting together the fashion show (you know, the 2nd fashion show where there was actual fashion clothes, not cardboard drawings). I think her one & only goal for that whole SheMale line was to have a fashion show and to be celebrated by the public for one night. And what they're showing onscreen regarding her legal battles with her ex is also a joke and a lie. "People are intimidated by my success," was her tagline in seasons 1-2. What a joke she is. Sorry, she just grates on my nerves because she reminds me of real people I know who act so damn entitled when they really have no talent, drive, or authority to behave as such. They just sponge off of other people's money and act like it's their own.
  25. You may get your wish. Apparently Miss Leakes would like her own show a la Bethenny & Kim and is pretty much over being part of RHofATL
