  1. RHONY reunion was awesome! Just the right doses of snarkiness and fighting without there being all-out hatred, threats, and humiliation. Totally agree with Chris B and DaytimeFan. You bring up interesting points about Carole, and how she didn't come across as being so witty and quick-thinking without the help of editing and preparation. I did think there were points that The Countess looked a little defeated and like she had put her foot in her mouth. 100% agreement about Aviva and how she backpedaled due to viewer backlash, and loved that Ramona called her out on that. Then there's Heather... I grew to really, really like her. She really tells it like it is, and maintains composure and class. I think she was the clear cut "winner" out of all of 'em. And she's right: it's better to remain calm and just put a smile on your face when you're having a disagreement in a public place rather than to go off like a chicken with its head cut off. Looking forward to next week's Part 2 and the Jill Zarin interview! P.S. I love Alex's NY recaps!
  2. My dream one-on-one would be to bring on Danielle Staub. But I have a feeling her juiciest tidbits would be things that Bravo wouldn't want her to reveal...
  3. Yay thanks so much!
  4. Damn, I hope it's put online. Totally forgot to TiVo
  5. What's ironic is how many of them phrase it, "you exposed Melissa being a stripper" etc. and other phrases that basically validate that Melissa was in fact a stripper at one point. Not that it matters, though Melissa keeps denying it, something she must've learned from the sister-in-law she hates so much. It is sad to see Teresa sitting there with Joe. You can just tell that things aren't all "lollipops and roses," as Caroline would put it. Funny how Jacqueline was going to take the high road, and then pieces of her own shady past started being mentioned, and she went straight for the jugular. These Jersey ladies are the very definition of hypocrisy. And I'm sorry Caroline, but Teresa talking to former castmate and real-life friend Dina is NOT the equivalent to Teresa's sister-in-law and cousin going behind her back to get on the show with the promise to producers that they would bring her down.
  6. Thanks for the info! Will be TiVoing that! There must be a good reason Thomas Calabro wasn't included. And yes, he looks GREAT, remember him the in the reboot? Even better than he did in the 90's! I agree that Courtney Thorne Smith looks wonderful as well. Aside from a few bad haircuts, she was probably one of the most beautiful of them all.
  7. I think they should try another reboot, and pretend the CW version never existed in the Melrose universe. Especially if it airs on a different network. Oh, well, dare to dream. That ship has sailed I guess.
  8. Wow, they look amazing! Very surprised we don't see more of Laura Leighton nowadays, but perhaps that's how she prefers it. I think they have all the right iconic people there EXCEPT Michael Mancini!! The one & only actor there from day one til the series finale. It had to have been a scheduling issue?
  9. Yup. I love the see-thru dress on Caroline, showing off her lovely white bra Thank goodness there's a photo of Teresa covering her nether regions...
  10. Ooh, cannot wait! Lisa looks fabulous as always, and right in the center where she should be. The lighting does NO favors for Taylor, yikes...
  11. Notable No-Show: The Irrelevant Kathy. Teresa's previous and countless cover stories are not solely targeted at other castmates, but rather her own struggles, marriage, life's predicaments, etc. etc. Granted, a lot of it is fluff and poppycock, but I just find it interested that the only way for any of those 3 to get a cover is to devote an entire article around bashing Teresa. Only an autistic child will grant one of them a brief time in the spotlight. It's kinda sad how catty and trashy they've ALL become. No one is "better" than anyone else at this point.
  12. I think NYC really gelled during the 2nd half, and I could see all 6 ladies staying, but I could also see various changes made in differing scenarios. One way or another, I do think they'll keep at least 1 of the originals (Ramona or LuAnn) with Ramona being the more likely choice to keep if they only kept one veteran. Sonja has gotten a safe pass for being Ramona's BFF, so I can't see them letting her go if Ramona is kept unless they casted someone who Ramona is already "real-life" friends with, cuz let's face it: Pinot Singer is an acquired taste that not everyone prefers I think the Heather and Carole friendship that blossomed was a fantastic dynamic, and they were really the ones who could take a look at the bullsh-t outside of the box and be real about it all. I think Aviva would be good for another season, but she looks kind of miserable overall. Speaking of free passes, I know I give Ramona one since I enjoy her nuttiness, but Sonja came across bad this season. I haven't seen all of the past seasons, but has she always been so self-entitled, selfish, and unaware? If it weren't for her Pinot buddy, she'd have gotten the ax too.
  13. Gotta agree wtih Cheap and Eric about last night's reunion. Wow, did Kathy even speak during the first half? So irrelevant. I guess getting bad cosmetic surgery and hurling insults about in-laws who aren't even of this show is her way of bringing something to the table? It was also funny when Caroline was saying she doesn't get cosmetic surgery and Jacqueline had a guilty lil smirk like, "I do!" I do think Teresa would do herself a lot of favors by owning up to some things that clearly are truth, like mentioning to castmates that Melissa was a stripper. That's hardly a big deal, especially if she said it to Jacqueline/Caroline back when Melissa first joined the show. Melissa is such a phony lil soap actress, even Charity Rahmer can do shock and awe better... Caroline and her family are the definition of hypocrisy. Caroline ALWAYS would say, "Don't bring the kids into this!" (even though her kids are in their mid-20's, but I digress) and here is her a--hole daughter Charlie Brown Lauren going after Teresa's kids. We may not all agree on who the villains are nowadays, but there's no doubt everyone will agree that Danielle Staub was one of the most delusional paranoid troublemakers ever (can you imagine if her and Kelly Bensimon became friends?), but just the idea of her returning for season 5 and teaming up with Teresa would be EPIC. Sadly, I doubt that'll happen.
  14. You mean she would fail miserably at it, Mrs. Guidice j/k
  15. I can see why she'd say that. That whole scenario was the worst set-up I've ever seen on one of these, complete with one-note actor Angelo who's conveniently got a microphone. It literally was like watching a poorly acted soap.
  16. Thanks for the ratings update Ouch, not good. They really need to have it on another night. Didn't NYC or OC used to be on Tuesdays?
  17. Crystal Chappell needs to school Jacqueline Laurita on how to stop the destructive pattern of drunk tweeting. She's been blowing up Twitter about all this too.
  18. Totally agree. Very disappointing to hear all 5 of these bitter, spiteful shrews are returning. Will Kathy do a bogus baby story too, a la LuAnn? I can just see it. And her pervy husband will be all about trying to make babies. Meanwhile, I don't know if I can take another season of Caroline's bitterness and negativity towards one single person, her puckered lips and jowels hanging down to her kneecaps, I just can't do another year with the Manzos... And Jacqueline, my favorite hypocritical moron of 'em all... I really am surprised. Hopefully 1 or 2 newbies will shake up the dynamic and put focus on something else, because this past season was too negative and toxic. It was just like season four of New York, and I would've thought TPTB would take note and make some changes, but I guess since they're still pulling in such healthy numbers, they figure they can wring out another year with the same ol' same ol...
  19. I totally agree, I really got into it once they found their groove. Looked forward to watching it much more than Jersey. And Heather grew on me too, holla!
  20. Thanks for that! I wondered how NYC and OC ranked, especially since they're the longest running of the RH franchise. It's well-deserved that Beverly Hills has shot ahead of those 2. BH and ATL are definitely the best, agreed Cheap. I think Jersey's best years were their first 2 and then it fell apart, yet their numbers are still wicked strong.
  21. So many great and not-so-great ideas (NO to Jill) for New York. I do think they finally found their groove this season and I almost feel like we could've had another few weeks worth of episodes before the season finale, but apparently they had already filmed so much already that the 3 veterans refused to shoot anymore! I think if they had just been honest and realistic right off the bat about how they introduced the 3 newbies and not pretended like they had been there all along, it would've made the transition easier. It would be quite interesting to see a former castmember brought back as a full-time Housewife again. I nominate Alex! I think Sonja made it past the major cast purge because she's BFF's with Ramona and they weren't gonna get rid of *that* bundle of drama! Otherwise, Sonja's pretty blah. I find her to be too aloof and shallow otherwise. I think LuAnn's good for being a [!@#$%^&*] stirrer, but her own individual storylines are also blah (or completely made up fluff just to have a story). I would guess that Ramona, Heather, and Carole are safe for Season 5. Sonja is mostly safe for being Ramona's bestie, LuAnn might have reason to be concerned, and Aviva probably wishes she could get the eff outta there! Does anyone know what the ratings were like for NYC in previous seasons? Was it ever up there in New Jersey territory in viewership? I'm guessing it must've been one of their bigger hits at one point to have Bethenny be popular enough to get a spin-off.
  22. Agreed on all accounts. You know you've effed up when some 73% vote Team Ramona vs. Team Aviva on Watch What Happens Live. I love me my Pinot Singer, but I know she's off her rockers, so to see the audience shift like that is pretty telling. I have no doubt she is the blind item that people mentioned about a new New York castmember who regrets joining the show.
  23. Wow, I didn't even think of those lost opportunities, other than the Amanda/Sydney roommates scenario. Definitely could've had some awkward interaction with Kimberly apologizing to Jo for the babynapping. And also could've showcased Alison being caught in the middle of loyalties towards Jo or Jane. And I'm still not a fan of how they changed Sydney from being a formidable vixen to a cartoonish go-go girl who talks like she's pretending to be mouse.
  24. Ugh, not surprised. You know they'll be vying for a spot on Season 5.
