The silence from the Days people says that they were blindsided and they have their legal team combing over that 2 year renewal deal. Could they just move Days over to Peacock without notice? If so, that slipped by the lawyers.

Could not agree more! Memo to the remaining soaps: If Paramount+ (Y&R, B&B) or Hulu (GH) approach you and say 'How'd you like to do a 5 episode experiment'? Run the other way. If you do well (which allegedly the Beyond Salems and Christmas movie did well on Peacock), they'll take you off the major network so fast that your head will spin. For all we say about Ken Corday, I do believe that he had every reason to believe that Days would be on NBC until at least September 2023.

Well when you keep Carlivati and throw Giddens into the mix, Days was bound to fail. Time will tell but a 5 day a week soap streaming is new territory. I'm doubtful that Days will last much beyond what is already contractually negotiated. My guess is that Days will eventually become an occasional Beyond Salem 5 episode arc a couple times a year.

The resurrection of Stefan-O is exactly why soaps are ridiculed.

I miss the old days where we got the demo total viewers. 4 shows tied for first place in Women 18-49 tells us nothing. Which of those 4 shows had the most actual viewers?

I had forgotten all about her and today made me want to forget about her all over again. The post its were ridiculous. She should be embarrassed that she went on television today.

Leo cracks me up. Glad to read from Jason that he is on contract. It's probably just a short arc and he'll be gone again but in the meantime I laugh at his one liners.

Finally finished Beyond Salem 2. I was bored after watching the first 2 episodes last week but I gradually got into it. The heaven scenes were corny. Kristian Alfonso looks great and really got into this project. She was wonderful. Peter Reckell is as hot as ever. The chemistry is still there. The flashbacks had me tearing up and of course playing their signature song sent it over the top. With that cliffhanger, I hope there is more to come. Not on the mother show but do a Beyond Salem once or twice a year.

I know that I'm quoting it and I don't want him to be here.......but why would you bring Alan Sarapa here? He's the LAST place I'd go to for soap opinions. Not a fan of Jamey. I'd like to enjoy Beyond Salem2, but so far, I don't. Maybe tomorrow.

Couldn't agree more! It's boring, gimmicky, bad production values. Just bad. I'm very disappointed in this. Season 1 was so much better and held your interest. These episodes are just plain BAD.

Alison Sweeney is gold. I can see why Days caters to her schedule and lets her come and go as she pleases. Alison brought it this week. Great acting work.

I asked Michele DeVito and she doesn't remember JFP firing anyone on her first day. Michele was there in the studio has a great memory. I am choosing to believe someone who was there in the studio over someone who wasn't. I guess it's not really important in the grand scheme of things.

Seriously?? Eric was standing up fine in the Friday episode that I just watched.

I can gets Days both at noon and 1 pm. On Tuesday, I saw the Abe Paulina wedding at noon and the other NBC station also showed Days and not the hearings at 1 pm. And today, at about 1:03 pm, our NBC station switched to Days and cut off Lester Holt. I was surprised by that given the vast repercussions of what was going on in today's news.

What are people's thoughts about Days:Beyond Salem competing in the big categories? I watched it and enjoyed it but I don't think a 5 episode show belongs in the same categories as a show that did 250 (give or take) episodes. It's easier to pick 2 out of 5 shows to submit than to pick 2 out of 250. It's not a level playing field, in my opinion. There are so many things wrong with the Daytime Emmys (Younger actor and actress combined into 1 category; 'Guest' Actor who stays on the show for years, for example) and this just adds to the problems. That said, Good Luck to all.

I thought that Cady was awful as well. She did not play those scenes well. Cady could not drum up the emotion needed to move the audience to feel about a mother losing a daughter. It just wasn't there from Cady.

@Errol Do you know if this is going to be promoted on other ABC shows? (GMA, The View, GMA 3rd hour)? Or Kelly and Ryan? I know that Kelly and Ryan is a syndicated show and not on ABC. This milestone deserves promotion and so far I haven't seen where it will be cross promoted, which is a shame. 15,000 episodes deserves to be celebrated.

I like Robert Scott Wilson and miss him. Happy to hear he will be back soon. Cady McClain was off in her scenes. Not impressed with her acting choices. I don't know why Melissa Reeves wasn't there. I'd have preferred Melissa to be in this storyline. Billy Flynn is doing great work. He's nailing it. Emmy worthy for sure.
