  1. I just signed up for Peacock. Am watching it now. This could catch on. lol
  2. OK Peacock, you got me. I was NOT going to sign up to watch Days on Peacock but I became impressed with their promotion over the last few days and then this morning I saw Deidre Hall on Today, 3rd Hour and I became happy with NBC again. I thought that they had abandoned Days. But what made me really pull the trigger and sign up for Peacock was NBC cutting into programming so they could show us step by step the Queen's casket being walked through the streets. NBC news interruption. I realized that Days will never get interrupted again so I pulled the trigger and am watching Days' first all new episode exclusively on Peacock. I don't need to see the Queen's casket step by step to its final destination. I'd actually rather watch Days.
  3. The irony! Literally, as the final NBC broadcast of DAYS had about 1 minute to go, NBC interrupted the show to those of us who watched the show at 12 pm. Literally a minute left in the show. I understand why they interrupted the final NBC broadcast - and those of you who get the show at 1pm will see the finale as will those of you on the other time zones, hopefully.
  4. I have no idea who Tony Moore is. He will not get me to make the switch. Goodbye Days after Friday!
  5. That is not the least bit funny. Amateurish.
  6. This is not directed at you, Chris B. I get that Peacock will do promos. But what is NBC doing to help with the transition? There will be alot of lost viewers come Sept 12 because NBC is not even running a scroll across the bottom of the screen saying that Days will move to Peacock and you can sign up for $19.99 for the year. NBC could at least help out to let viewers know where and how to find Days after Sept 9. I'm being ageist here but you need more time to let the older viewers understand how to maneuver to Peacock. NBC has done nothing to help this along. They seem done with Days and are not doing anything to help the move to Peacock.
  7. Oh god, Donna's at it again. NBC should let their viewers know where to find Days after it leaves the network. NBC needs to let the viewers know that Days will move to Peacock on Sept 12. Screencapping Peacock isn't going to alert the NBC viewers who have no idea what Peacock is or how to find it.
  8. Hope can't recognize disguised Sheila? Soaps have become so dumbed down.
  9. Where are the promos that Days is moving to Peacock soon? This has been handled so poorly which will not be good for Days in the long run! From the timing of the announcement, about a month before the big move, to radio silence at first and now no promotion. This will be the end of Days. How are regular NBC network viewers going to know about the move?
  10. It would seem that Elaine was quite sad in these scenes, having been blindsided that she was fired.
  11. Someone correct me but I haven't seen ANY mention of DAYS OF OUR LIVES in Peacock's bid to lower their price and get eyeballs to their network. Days is as good as dead. There isn't any cross promotion and no mention of Days coming over from NBC. The vast majority of Days viewers will just think that the show was cancelled and not know that it is on Peacock, who is not promoting the show. This has been handled so badly from the start. Bye, Days.
  12. It will be interesting to see how NBC "cares" about the show. Will they promote it and let the Days people be on their 5 hours of Today? If NBC cares, they will put Days actors on their first episode of whatever the show replacing Days is called and say hey, we know you expected to see Days Of Our Lives but we have moved to Peacock. (aka Cancelled)
  13. Malone was good in his first run on OLTL after a very shaky start then he sucked at both AW and his second stint at OLTL. He deservedly won 1 Emmy.
  14. Isn't Peacock billions of dollars in the red? They are not making money and subscriptions are not what they expected. Experts are predicting that Peacock's Days (pun intended) are numbered. The few subscriptions that Days may bring to Peacock will not erase Peacock's debt. It's a losing situation all around for Days. I agree with the post above - Peacock should have at least given a free month or two to give time to adjust from NBC to Peacock. Pulling Days off NBC so suddenly and expecting the audience to follow them to a pay service is bad public relations. This was not handled well at all.
  15. If there's anyone who believes that Days will last beyond their current contract and that Days will be successful on Peacock, well. You're delusional.
  16. Sorry, but Anne Heche does not get a pass because she was good on AW 30 years ago or because she was nice to fans and remembered her soap roots. She destroyed a woman's home! Look at the video of Anne's car. Thank GOD she didn't hurt people. She was out of control. I'm sorry she was mentally ill but that is no excuse for putting so many people in harm's way and destroying a home. That woman has a great claim against Anne's estate. I say sue sue sue. A drugged up woman slamming into your house and destroying it? No excuse. ?
  17. Watching today's episode. Days is so bad and boring. It is just whimpering on. Nothing of substance happening. That Li guy is not a good actor. The double date is embarrassing. I truly hope that Corday and Carlivati realize why NBC took the show off their network and moved it to where very few viewers will watch. NBC didn't cancel Days outright. They just moved it to Peacock where it will die very very very very quietly.
  18. Is there any actual story going on right now? I've seen bits and pieces of the last few episodes and nothing seems to be going on. Maura West pushed someone over a castle is about all that I got.
  19. The silence from the Days people says that they were blindsided and they have their legal team combing over that 2 year renewal deal. Could they just move Days over to Peacock without notice? If so, that slipped by the lawyers.
  20. Could not agree more! Memo to the remaining soaps: If Paramount+ (Y&R, B&B) or Hulu (GH) approach you and say 'How'd you like to do a 5 episode experiment'? Run the other way. If you do well (which allegedly the Beyond Salems and Christmas movie did well on Peacock), they'll take you off the major network so fast that your head will spin. For all we say about Ken Corday, I do believe that he had every reason to believe that Days would be on NBC until at least September 2023.
  21. Well when you keep Carlivati and throw Giddens into the mix, Days was bound to fail. Time will tell but a 5 day a week soap streaming is new territory. I'm doubtful that Days will last much beyond what is already contractually negotiated. My guess is that Days will eventually become an occasional Beyond Salem 5 episode arc a couple times a year.
  22. The resurrection of Stefan-O is exactly why soaps are ridiculed.
