Y&R February 2023 Discussion Thread
So now Josh Griffith is EP and Headwriter. And he has 4 Producers under him. This probably won't go well. Y&R has had Lynn Latham, Maria Arena Bell and the dreaded Mal Young be EP and HW in the last 20 years and none of them ended well. The show is so boring.

Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
It is very telling that the Peacock execs and press releases never mention Days. They mention sports and the next day streaming of NBC shows. But they never mention Days. And per the Nielsen charts, Days is definitely not the #1 show on Peacock.

ON topic. It's not normal for a 70+ year old woman to be obsessed with Challie - teenagers. I dislike Challie and anything to do with them. Thank GOD they are no more!!!

You cause chaos Donna. I should listen to the messages that I receive about you. You post incorrect facts as a career. To stay on topic, Days is not #1 or #2 constantly on Peacock according to Neilsen. I'll take Nielsen's word over yours.

Pass around what you're smoking, Donna. Streaming is everything and this site doesn't consider shows like B&B yet you post this stuff as truth? Shameful.

Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
Nope. I will constantly call you out for the misinformation that you post. Explain to us the metrics you post. How is Days still # whatever on NBC when Days is not on NBC anymore? It's Peacock Exclusive. Days is not on NBC, not on NBC on Demand or on the NBC app. Back up the data that you post. Is Days still on NBC?

Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
@Tonksadora PLEASE stop spamming the board with the metrics crap. Days is not on NBC. Stop posting that Days is #22 out of 78 shows on NBC. Days is no longer on NBC. Stop with the spam posts.

LOL! Errol is the only one who might know if Days is #1 on Peacock? Nielsen is reporting the numbers and Days in not on the list but other Peacock shows are on the list. It's not hard to understand that Days is NOT #1 on Peacock.

Oh lord. The spammer is back. Get ready for all kinds of incorrect facts. Use Jason47's episode guide and not the spammers.

Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
I don't see any difference between NBC Days and Peacock Days. Very boring start to a sweeps month. Xander's hot, but seeing him in his undies for 4 or 5 straight episodes? Dull. The Marlena story hasn't been played in a week and a half. Any word on a renewal for Days? The Peacock execs were playing up the decision this week to no longer offer free sign ups and they attributed their growth to The World Cup, the NFL, next day broadcasts of NBC and Bravo shows and originals, but no specific mention or credit given to Days. Yellowstone and The Best Man have managed to break into the Nielsen Top 10 for Peacock but Days is nowhere to be found.

Days actress returns
Not to be aegist but her last return didn't have the oomph that her prior returns had. I don't care that she returns in a phone call or voiceover. Viv's legacy is over.

I hope that soaps don't wonder why they are dying. Fen is gay? When did that happen? Most stories are told off screen nowadays. Do better. Tell your stories ON screen.

True. They block anyone who says a negative thing about their amateur podcast.

Sally Sussman Morina Interview
Thanks for summarizing the interview upthread. I tried to listen to The Chat once and commented to the hosts about how bad that podcast is and got blocked. Those hosts cannot take criticism. (Despite what they say). That said, I'm not surprised that Sally Sussman is a 'friend' to The Chat. As stated upthread, Sally Sussman has never had a successful stint as headwriter. She rode Bill Bell's coat tails for years and her own show flopped and Days' ratings dropped when she headwrote the show. Her last stint at Y&R was terrible and of course it was someone else's fault. Surely The Chat kissed her ass and didn't ask about her husband and it was so disgusting to read that they dissed Brad Bell to Sally Sussman. They would never do that to Brad's face. Sally's delusional if she thinks that her failed show Generations can be rebooted. A low rated soap opera from 30 years ago. Really Sally? I guess she needed to say something to still sound relevant.

Days: January 2023 Discussion Thread
Well at least Chandler had a reason to smirk today. Usually he smirks for no reason. I wasn't impressed with the big reveal that Leo is indeed a weasel and not Sonny's friend. Why on earth would Sonny "cry" (they obviously put the glycerin drops into Zach's eyes so it would look like he's crying) over Leo? Dumb writing by the team who wins awards just by participating.

Rachael Ray’s daytime talk show may be ending
Good! I hope that she is cancelled. Went to a taping of her show pre-covid and believe me, her' niceness' is a farce. She's nice while the camera is rolling but the second they fade out, she could not care less about the audience. She acknowledged the studio audience once at the beginning of the show but never again, not even during commercial breaks and she was very rude to her behind the scenes crew who prepare her cooking dishes. Yelled at them because they weren't fast enough to get the fake tv dishes out there fast enough. It was an experience. Bye beyatch. Glad you're cancelled.

When was that? Cite examples. I don't remember that happening with the Daytime Emmys.

The Days writers should be ashamed of themselves for declaring the WGA 'win' a victory. It's more like - a participation trophy. You get a trophy just for participating. That's not brag worthy.
