  1. I will forever blame Ellen Wheeler for killing GL. Peapack? WTF was the show killer thinking??? Thank GOD Wheeler never got her hands on another soap!
  2. Ellen Wheeler was DEATH to GL. She was the most inept EP, ever! She had no clue what an EP should do. Peapack??? Peapack was ridiculous. Dumb idea that got GL cancelled.
  3. SOD still exists? Haven't bought one since OLTL went off the air. Stephanie Sloane killed that mag.
  4. I'm glad Albert Alarr is GONE. Good riddance! He should have been fired long ago. But unlike others thrilled about Janet Spellman-Drucker, I'd love to know if she ever spoke out over the years since she was on the front lines during Alarr's reign. With all of the toxicity onset, Janet was there and saw it first hand. Did she ever speak up to anyone? Promoting the next in line because she's been there for decades yet she was there to witness all of the crap seems corporate standard to me. I completely understand why some wanted Sonia Blangiardo since she is a director and not onset everyday. Did Janet ever stand up to Albert and tell him that what he was doing is unacceptable? If she didn't and was afraid that she'd fired if she spoke up, I don't have much confidence in her ability to lead this show. I'd love to know her point of view about what happened all these years while she was there.
  5. I'm sure that she was on Guiding Light during the Roxie Shayne in Alaska story in early 1985. Met her outside the studio. She wasn't nice. lol IMDB doesn't mention her time on GL.
  6. Be realistic people and stop listening to the spammer of this board. JFP is not in contention. Days can’t afford her. End of story. Wendy Riche is 80. A streaming soap is NOT going to hire her. Stop feeding rumors.
  7. Agree. RH was not the first.
  8. GL and the Jennifer Richards trial. A ratings hit.
  9. Kudos to Alan Locher for having to pivot constantly because of Helen's one or two word answers. In hindsight, a 97 year old should not be interviewed live. It's a great idea to interview a living legend, just not live. I'm sure with prodding and editing she could have remembered more and it would have been a great interview. Malcolm rescued that episode by talking alot.
  10. WHY is this man still employed? Come on, Ken Corday, step up and fire this toxic man. On top of it all, Alarr has all this power and current Days is the product that he puts out??? I credit the actress who said F you to him. I hope that someone said to him that you're concerned about my hair but yet you put this crap product out as a show? There are bigger issues here than someone's haircut.
  11. Ilene Kristen played Georgina Whitman on OLTL after she left Ryan’s Hope.
  12. Thank you, as always, Paul for citing FACTS.
  13. YES to Kim Zimmer and speaking out against catty Valentini. He's out lasted his petty grievances. Love Kim and her candidness. Frank puts his ego above what is best for the show. GH sucks and Frank has to go. The ratings suck. There ARE other producers out there who can bring GH under budget.
  14. I don't say it enough. I cannot thank you enough @Paul Raven and @slick jones for this info. You two provide this most useful information based on FACTS and not random quotes. Thank you!
  15. Calm down about Days actors liking a post that is negative to the show on social media. Reckell, Vaughan, Hogestyn and others have liked or loved every single comment (and sometimes there are thousands of comments) on the weekly promo. It's automatic. Don't fool yourselves into thinking that Drake or Greg actually read every single comment. They love the comments that say the show is great. They love the comments that think the show sucks. It's public relations and has nothing to do with the actors personal opinions.
  16. Great news! I love John-Paul Lavoisier.
  17. I LOVE Leo! he's funny. Obviously he has a following or else the writers wouldn't keep him on Days. There is definitely chemistry between Leo and Dimitri.
  18. Per usual, the cancer of the board took over and derailed the thread. Staying on topic, you need the mother to cover up the murder that her daughter committed. The mother goes to jail to protect the daughter.
  19. You're the best, Jason. When you get to June, 1984, it will be great to finally put to rest the misbelief that Guiding Light hit #1. Yes, it beat GH for 3 weeks, but Y&R was #1 and AMC was #2 during those weeks.
  20. Greg Rikkart and Peter Porte have incredible chemistry! I called it weeks go. Great stuff with Leo and Dimitri.
  21. Leo is my favorite character on Days. Unpopular opinion on here but I don't care. He cracks me up. They keep him on the show for a reason. Leo must test well in research groups because they obviously spend alot of time writing his one liners. My husband doesn't watch Days but he knows that I watch it and he asks "was Leo on today". He loves the Leo scenes. To each their own.
  22. It's interesting that CBS will do better later in the year and Guiding Light will hit #1 again.
  23. I don 't think that enough can be said about Jackie Smith, who was heading ABC daytime at this point. Yes, Gloria Monty and Doug Marland were spearheading ABC Daytime to the stratosphere but Jackie was leading all of ABC soaps to great ratings.
  24. It's becoming so obvious that Dimitri will marry Leo and not Rice Chex. Not a spoiler, just an observation.
  25. I would add 3 000's to the numbers, except of course for the average column, which lists total number of viewers.
