Actually, Colleen Zenk didn’t bring in the ratings. Per Toups post of the day to day ratings, Colleen’s first show was the lowest rated of the week in the demos.

Alan Locher had Vincent Irizarry on The Locher Room earlier this week. Vincent spoke of an actor he had difficulty with early on. Greg Beecroft comes to mind.

It seems so obvious that Eric is going to live.

I disagree. I’ve seen her scenes and all I see is fat butt. I don’t see top heavy at all. The costume designer does her no favors.

Kristen has a huge butt. It can’t be hidden, even when she wears the slimming black. The costume designer, Shawn Reeves does not dress her well. Her big butt always seems to be on display.

OLTL was really tanking. No wonder they got rid of Rauch and brought in Gottlieb.

There was only one thing wrong with Generations: Sally Sussman!!!! That woman could never write a soap. She failed every single time as a headwriter. She is/was a disaster!! Keep her away from soaps please.

Dimitri’s hair - just NO! Albert Alaar should have sent him back into hair & makeup when he showed up looking like that.

Did Eve ever mention a sister? Dumb storyline and not a fan of Colleen Zenk. She can go away already. She desperately wants a Guest Emmy but she won’t get one for this campy over the top role.

Good for Greg Rikaart for getting an opening credit for a 1 day appearance. Loved the Baldwin scenes.

The information that I have shows GL airing the first half of GL on 1/21 and then re-airing that same episode the next day on 1/22. As you stated, there were preemptions on both days so between those 2 days, they aired the 1/21 episode.

@JAS0N47 Thanks for the demos. I know you’re just posting the books but some numbers don’t make sense and I’m curious how you interpret them. Again, you just post the Nielsen numbers. In May, 1982, I do not believe for a second that Texas was beating GH in the women demos. GH had 3X the audience of Texas. These numbers need some explanation.

Y&R is still at 7800 Beverly Blvd and they are not taping 10 weeks ahead.

Been watching the 1980 episodes on It’s Real Good Tv. For a low rated soap at the time, it is still much superior than what passes for a soap opera today.

Fascinating, Jason to see the demos. If I’m reading the Feb 1981 numbers right, Edge of Night, which had less than half of GH’s total viewers, has a higher women 25-54 and 35-64 viewership than GH. And OLTL,AMC and Ryan’s Hope were beating GH in many key demos. This was all during the GH heyday when they were solidly #1 in households.

Has she? Haven’t seen her in anything notable in decades. Her face doesn’t even move now. Sad.

Days was boring today without Leo! He's my favorite character. Heard that Greg Rikkart is still taping. So 9 more months, at least, of Leo. Yes!

I do think it's gross that men who are old enough to be Joshua Hoffman's grandfather post pictures of him. That being said, I love the Liam character and Scott Clifton and I cannot wait to see where this new storyline takes him. And I'm not old enough to be his grandfather!

WHY Morgan Fairchild, why did you do that to yourself? Just watching episodes from earlier in the week and Morgan Fairchild can't even move her face. Not a good look for her and for GH. She can't even act anymore because her face doesn't move. Don't submit the Morgan Fairchild episodes for the Emmy next year, GH.

GL killer Ellen Wheeler and Stephanie have alot in common.

The icing on the cake is that Stephanie's position was eliminated. She wasn't contributing. She was deemed useless. AT LAST! Long overdue!!! She drove SOD into the ground for years.
