  3. Hate for Elon Musk narrows jury pool for his upcoming trial. Plaintiffs are suing him for misleading statements made regarding the twitter deal https://www.courthousenews.com/contempt-for-musk-clouds-jury-selection-in-twitter-takeover-trial/ A large portion of jury selection focused on prospective jurors’ opinions of Musk and whether they would be able to be impartial. “Whatever your opinion is on Mr. Musk, Twitter or Tesla, can you set it aside in the sense that you will judge the defendant based solely, emphasize solely, on the evidence produced in this trial and the law as I give it to you?” U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer asked the prospective jury pool. Musk’s ties to the Trump administration were also a focal point of jury screening, with Breyer telling prospective jurors the case is “not a referendum on the president of the United States.” “Even though you may have strong views on the presidency, this is not the forum where this is expressed,” he told prospective jurors, adding that they should affirm that “whatever your views of the presidency are, they are not going to influence your views in this case.” More than a third of the initial jury pool indicated they could not serve impartially and were dismissed by the judge. Others were questioned by the parties about the answers they provided to the court, indicating a strongly held negative opinion of Musk. Stephen Broome of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, an attorney for Musk, raised concerns with Breyer following jury screening that the court was “desensitized” to how improper it would be to seat jurors who expressed extreme dislike for the defendant. He claimed that if Musk was any other defendant, a juror who said “I hate that guy and he has no moral compass” would be dismissed. Breyer pushed back, saying that the case was not like any other because Musk is a well-known public figure akin to a United States president, and jurors are allowed to have personal views on public figures. “He is a public figure, and as a public figure, he will excite views, strong views. The question is whether or not they can set them aside,” said Breyer, a Bill Clinton appointee presiding over the trial. The trial is scheduled to begin on March 2 and go through March 16 with nine jurors and no alternates. The defense has not indicated whether or not Musk will testify at trial.
  4. I just briefly summed up Bailey Louise in my above post, but it's actually an insanely convoluted arc. Full details here
  5. I don't actually have interest in seeing this, but I'm vaguely curious if Nathan has had scenes with Bailey Louise? In addition to being Maxie's child, she was biologically Peter's, so she'd be Nathan's niece. There was that whole arc when Peter was still alive, and Brook Lynn covered for Maxie and pretended to be Bailey Louise's mother (via a one-night stand Brook Lynn had with Valentin), in order to protect Maxie and the baby from Peter. And later, after Valentin learned he wasn't the father, Chase was eventually in on the ruse and began pretending to be the father instead, with everyone else still believing that Brook Lynn was the mother. I loathed Peter, so I didn't invest myself in that storyline; but it was a big arc for a long while. Anyhow, I wonder if any of this was explained to Nathan -- by Spinelli, or Felicia, or Brook Lynn, or Chase?
  6. Yeah I love this Malcolm/Andre idea. I think they should do this at some point in the future. Per multiple interviews with Sheila Ducksworth and Michele Val Jean, they both credit Vivica A. Fox with introducing them to one another, which eventually led to BTG (I'd link to the interviews, but there are just too many to list here). So I wonder if Vivica might make an appearance on BTG someday. This is from April 2024:

  8. That site is not a reputable site. That link is a clickbait item dated Feb. 3, * speculating * about a spoiler pic. The scene in the photo has already aired Feb. 6, 2026 episode, and the characters were discussing Britt and Rocco.
  9. Sony ordered -- and they just finished filming -- a ten-episode season of the SWAT spinoff. Interestingly, Sony ordered this spinoff and had the filming done, without a buyer to air or stream it. I read that, and thought wtf? I must be misunderstanding what I was reading! So I found more articles that verify this is true. The season has been filmed with no buyer, so nobody knows when/where it will air or stream. from May 2025, The Hollywood Reporter (link) From October 2025, Variety (link) From February 2026, TVLine (link)
  10. All that Dante stuff is rumors from anonymous posters on the rumor site. There are a ton of pages over there of anons arguing about what DZ actually said on the zoom. One anon there insists that from what DZ said, the pairing is coming. A different anon there clarified that DZ only said simply that that he and Becky have more scenes. None of this is verifiable.

  13. Faison-Obrecht family currently or recently airing (in bodily form or via audio/video hallucination) Faison, Britt, Peter, Bailey-Louise, Nathan, James; Liesl, Nina, Willow, and also Nelle&Willow's children Wiley & Amelia. That's too huge a clan that should not exist.
  14. @Errol I'm just as confused as some of the above posters about what your vision for this is. I can imagine what you're saying regarding a few things. For example, there are two recent discussions of "Sisters" in the Cancelled Soaps section: within the "Primetime Soaps" thread and also on a dedicated Sisters thread. Both places are totally fine, neither is right or wrong, but it gets confusing as to where to post. Another example is a new thread about "Rich Man Poor Man" in the Cancelled Soaps section. Does that belong there, or in the existing "Classic Primetime MiniSeries" thread in the Primetime section? Both places are fine. (Of course the point of the new thread was to discuss if richmanpoorman was actually a soap or not.) For daytime soaps, there have been miscellaneous discussions within the Cancelled Soaps section in the pinned threads called "ABC Daytime", "NBC Daytime", and "CBS Daytime". That works for cancelled soaps. Are you suggesting something like this thread in the "Cancelled Soaps" section "ALL: General Retro Soap Discussion" (see description in first post of that thread) https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/68121-all-general-rebtro-soap-discussion/ I can see a niche for that sort of thing; but otherwise? I can see how a general area would address cancelled daytime and cancelled primetime series where things overlap, per the above examples that already exist. But I do think there's a need for separate threads for active daytime soaps. Otherwise I think it would get very confusing. Or you could have an * additional * thread called "Misc. current daytime discussion". Of course, sometimes we drift into discussions of the past within the current month's discussion threads of active daytime soaps. That's only natural, and sometimes it's unclear as to whether to continue the discussion there, or to move it over to the bts/history thread. Is that what you're referring to? I don't think there's an easy answer to that.

  17. Jasmine Crockett interview with CBS-Houston. conducted before Talarico appeared on Colbert.
  18. Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico are running against each other in the primary for the same Senate seat. She's great and I'd vote for her. For me, the Talarico thing was about CBS telling Colbert what he could or could not do.

  20. Note sure if a spoiler? Friday Feb 20 is a tribute to Tony Geary. I think it's okay to say that much. Mostly old clips but something possibly new with one actor. it's a newly-created insert episode with "A" attached to episode number. Just notifying in case anyone wants to record it for themselves promo behind spoiler tag
