That's actually the only think I remember about Brad Vernon, that he played tennis, he was blond, and was untrustworthy with Jenny Wolek, and then the actor Jameson Parker went to primetime on Simon&Simon. Edit to add, now reading a biography of the character, wow he turned out to be a horrible person after the recast, but I don't think I was watching then.

I didn't read it that way. My *interpretation* of what MVJ said: I think she intended to say something like paraphrased in my own words, guessing what she's thinking "I'm aware of the complaints about some storylines fading out or feeling inconsistent, and I want to reassure you that there is a longterm plan, and.... that some things that seem to make no sense now, do fit into a larger overview, and will make sense eventually. And I do know what I'm doing." I mean maybe she was a bit gruff in how she said it, but I don't think she intended to be gruff. She follows a lot of social media accounts of ordinary soap fans, and she's aware of the feedback. If she didn't care what viewers thought, she wouldn't read their thoughts.

Here's the full video of Lesley Robins interviewing Rachel Boyd. This interview and footage was filmed in October 2024, but released onto youtube in February 2025. Lots of behind-the-scenes views of the hospital scenes, from when Sophia comes to the emergency room. You can see "Nurse Lesley" with Sophia, Brady, Tate, Rachel, Marlena, Amy Choi, and Sarah Horton -- taping what airs in June 2025 (on or near June 20).

I think Vanessa is playing the long con with Joey now, in retaliation for him playing the long con with her. I think at this point, she's faking sexual interest in Joey now, but using the sex as a means to get her revenge. At least that's what I hope is happening.

(Link) [She is scheduled to air June 20, but we know some scenes from John Black's funeral were moved around, which shifted some (but not all) episodes to next airdate.] This photo is from Parade Magazine. The original URL of this photo says: "episode-15143" so that should air Thursday June 19, which must be when Sophia first arrives at the hospital.
