There were lots of spoiler pics for week of May 5-9 of Devon/Lily/Holden/Damian/Amy/Nate/Audra. I posted them on the spoiler thread that week because they all looked so pretty. I was hopeful. Sorry to read in the recaps that it was mostly discussion of Dumas!

From today's dialogue, she and Vernon hinted at something that had split the Articulettes, so I think that's exactly what's coming

The dialogue was not written great, but Ms. Tunie brought it alive for me. She's so great that I felt I was the room with Anita Williams Dupree. Ms. Tunie is so alive. I forget she's an actress and am captivated by the character. Which is an achievement when the storyline isn't that interesting yet. (in contrast to a few other actors that I feel are just actors saying lines.)

Martin and Smitty's place - coming home from the store with arms full of groceries, and we see Tide in one. Then the show pauses. Cut to commercial - and the commercial starts with random family coming home with groceries including Tide.

Hilarious to hear Vernon singing badly. And we know Clifton Davis in real life is a singer, so he had to do some acting to sing that badly!

May I ask then: Carly's 2004-2009 house and Lulu's 2025 house are each supposed to be different buildings -- unrelated to Spencer history (despite them both being Spencer daughters) ?

I know in-universe Port Charles, that these are different buildings, but it's still weird visually that Lulu is living (on the set) where her father accidentally killed her grandmother and in rage killed her grandfather

Admittedly I haven't watched in a while, but I do skim recaps. Clearly I missed something because... the hospital has always been "Salem UNIVERSITY Hospital", so why is it for sale? Why isn't it part of the university? They're not doing a storyline about universities and educational grants losing funding, are they? It's just a corporation rivalry business storyline which makes no sense (to me).

On April 10, Deadline said Jack Wagner's first airdate is Friday June 13 https://deadline.com/2025/04/the-bold-and-the-beautiful-brings-back-jack-wagner-1236366014/ Now on May 13, SOD is saying JW's first airdate is June 13 -- but that must be an error. SOD probably just copy/pasted the original info into their new article about JW being in the Italy episodes. The May 8th preemption for the Pope news would have pushed the first airdate to Monday June 16.

I really like your analysis. This isn't about a stereotype of black men being cheaters. This is about a soap opera in which one couple was regarded to be flawed and the other regarded to be perfect, but there were issues underneath the supposedly perfect one. Very good point that they started the show in these early months with a classic sex and betrayal story to get people hooked. I agree with you that we'll see more aspects and layers of all the characters as the months and years go by.

Randy (Doug's friend who works for Joey) -- Joey told Randy weeks ago that Joey's plan was to get Doug into so much debt that Doug would be forced to get Vanessa's real estate holding turned over to Joey, to use for money-laundering. That's been the plan all along, which the viewers knew. The only thing new is that Joey finally told Doug this. I think Joey is written badly. I also think Jon Lindstrom is doing "Now I am going to act menacing". But I don't really feel the menace. It's too overdramatic and it doesn't feel like a real person. Jon is a fine actor on GH, so I don't know what's happening here -- the entire BTG mobster premise is badly designed/written. I don't know if Guza pushed for a mobster storyline? Or did Jon? (Jon wrote a novel about Hollywood mobsters). It just doesn't fit. It feels (to me) like this storyline for Jon was just shoved onto the canvas but it doesn't fit all all. Monday's scene of Mona coming into the "casino" to check up on where Leslie supposedly lost money in the slot machines -- and Randy explaining to Mona that there are no slot machines, there is nothing but the card room. I had to laugh because they had characters comment that it's just a card room and not a casino -- the show is now acknowledging that there's nothing there. If they are going to do this, then have it make sense for Fairmont Crest residents to visit a high-end glamourous casino, and not a random room with one table. So what money is Joey laundering? A while back, Joey told Vanessa that he knows about her sexual philandering because owns the escort service that she'd been using. But I don't care... I'd just prefer that the entire mobster storyline go away.

a reference to a mystery character on Y&R named "Aristotle Dumas" who has been discussed a zillion times in the past few months but never seen. Not mad at the character. Mad at Y&R writer Griffith for the annoyance. Mentioned to point out the annoyances of Y&R in contrast to enthusiasm for BTG.

Vanessa told Joey that her best friend had cheated and has a surprise daughter. Joey said the same had happened to him. I wasn't sure if Joey was saying he has an adult out-of-wedlock child?
