Samantha and Tyrell are 16 and 17. If Martin is 31 now, then perhaps he adopted them when they were ages 6 and 7, and he was 21? Or maybe they were 9 and 10 and he was 24? The minimum age for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives is 25. So he was at least 25 when he first took office.

ooh. good catch. So then if Brandon's tweet that Martin's "not 35", maybe he's 31 now, planning to take office January 2029 at age 35, with November 2028 election.

At the end of yesterday Monday and today Tuesday (and also at end of B&B) they showed a promo for BTG this week, which included the fashion show. This promo is different from the "next week on BTG" promo from end of Friday April 4. Does anyone know if there's a social media copy of this newer promo?

We don't know if he was considering a 2028 or 2032 election. Brandon C tweeted that "Martin is not 35" .... but I don't know if that means he's a year or two more or less than 35, or way younger? Today Martin and Smitty's convo, they mentioned adopting the children when they were older, didn't have them since birth. So maybe he's 28?

Martin tells Smitty that since his talk with his grandparents, he might not run for president after all. Hmmmm.

In all my decades of life, I don't think I've ever paid attention to commercials before. I used to leave the room or mute the commercials, and now I usually fastforward or use an adblocker online. I didn't watch the original P&G soaps, but I'm sure watching this one now. I'm impressed with P&G's DEI initiatives on their website in support of diverse consumers and in support of diverse P&G employees. My local grocery store advertising flyer is promoting a P&G discount and I'm actually buying the products. I want to support them.- DAYS: April 2025 Discussion Thread

When they showed Nicole with Febreeze last week, it was more obvious. Yesterday Monday it was much less obvious, but on the live broadcast yesterday right after she sprayed, it cut to a Febreeze commercial.- GH: Classic Thread
Thanks! Really great to see Leslie, Rick, and Jeff interacting. The one and only Richard D. Anderson, cuteness himself. A few seconds of P.J. (baby Steven Lars). I had to fast forward through Laura kissing Luke a couple of years after he raped her. But otherwise a great episode. Laura working at the Quartermaine office, and Robert arriving and being so charming, and Laura seeing right through him. Robert asks Laura if she's seen the Cassadine. A few seconds of Police Captain Burt Ramsey when he was still a good guy. A few seconds of Bobbie and Ruby! What's really interesting is the closing credits showing the full production staff and technical staff. It starts out with Jeff telling Rick and Leslie that he wants custody of PJ and that Diana had said PJ is Steven Lars and talking about Diana as if she's still alive and I assume she was. PJ is shown alone in a room and the phone is off the hook, but they don't show Diana's body or its discovery. Towards the end of the episode, Rick and Leslie are dressed the same so it's the same "Port Charles day" but they're talking about planning Diana's funeral. There must be a chunk in the middle missing, including the discovery of Diana's death. I was so confused. Then I read the description on the archive site which says "Howard and Mrs. Grant enter Diana's apartment and get shocked to see her body and Anne's name inscribed in blood." but I didn't see that in the episode. That must be the part that's missing. Either that, or it didn't happen in this episode? Or maybe it's there and I missed it? This is the description from the archive Featuring most of the second half of the episode, this classic episode of General Hospital takes place just after a great outdoor parade at Port Charles, with events ranging from P.J.'s identity being Stephen Lars, while Howard and Mrs. Grant enter Diana's apartment and get shocked to see her body and Anne's name inscribed in blood. Here's CurlyQ's description: https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/eps/gheps1981.htm February 25, 1981 :41 mins Luke wakes Laura up. Jeff takes the footprints to Burt. Stephen Lars somehow doesn't see Diana. The babysitter calls Alice for assistance. Joe parades the nurses' banner into GH. The expert starts looking at the prints. Laura is tired of Luke's evasions. Laura turns down a date request. Audrey inquires about Scotty. Jeff hears the good news. Lesley urges caution. Stephen Lars ensures his play time is uninterrupted. Laura is curious about Luke's box. Luke finally lets Laura help him. Luke calls Benny's bluff. Jeff is planning for the future. He tells Rick and Lesley what Diana had in mind. Rick and Lesley have a heart to heart. Laura tries to get more information. Luke makes a deal with Benny. Stephen Lars could be headed for trouble. -- Thank you again for posting. Judah Mackey (he plays Adam&Chelsea's son "Connor Newman" on Y&R) Judah was on "FBI: Most Wanted" April 1, 2025, Season 6 Episode 16, "Toxic Behavior". He had a rather significant supporting role as the son of the hunted criminal who is a poisoner. I didn't even realize it was Judah, but then I saw his IG and realized it was him. The IG post has BTS pics of him posing with cast members. https://www.instagram.com/p/DH55IRwJtxB/ .- The Politics Thread

Fair point. But I do read recaps and spoilers and am aware of the current storylines. I brought it up only in reply to another poster commenting on a current storyline regarding DiMera/Kiriakis feud. But yes I agree that I should bring any historical discussion to the history thread. Sorry for derailing the discussion of current episodes.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread

I found Brandon C stiff at first, as Martin, and felt that was a problem with the actor, and I think it really was. But now I think things have shifted. What I'm seeing now is that he's intentionally putting the stiffness into the character as a character trait -- when the character is in an uncomfortable or triggered situation; but other times the character Martin acts more relaxed and natural. That's the shift I'm feeling. So now I finally want to watch him. - BTG: April 2025 Discussion Thread
