I think one of the things that Nicole loved about Ted was that he was commanding but only in a kind way, like her father Vernon. We the viewers saw another side of him when he gave Leslie the 50 grand to leave town. Maurice's Ted could get angry, but Ted was never scary. I don't think Nicole would have married a scary person, even if the scariness was hidden. I appreciate the nuTed trying to reason with crazy Leslie -- obviously it's pointless to try to reason with a sociopath, but he thinks he can. Or he thinks mild threats would work. In my view, Leslie is scary, and Ted is not, and that contrast is supposed to be there. Bill has done scary things, but not Ted.

I really liked the Anita/Tracy scenes today. Both powerful actresses. They made me *want* to know what the secret is.

The wig and wardrobe is on point, but her dialogue in the mirror didn't do it for me.

Usually I find Leslie's fantasies entertaining but this "Nicole 2.0" fantasy is just weird.

I think Keith's Ted is doing great against Leslie today. To the point that I'm just seeing Ted and not the actor.

I disagree. I think John would do the right thing and help Bo first if Bo's life were in danger, and that his family would love him for being true to those ideals. To me, that's just who John is.

Was Gail Monica's foster mother? One site said she was Monica's adoptive mother but I'm sure that's wrong. I sort of remember that the backstory was that Gail was a social worker who had mentored Monica when Monica was a youth, but they didn't have a legal relationship? And then eventually when Monica was an adult, Gail served as mentor, friend, and mother figure to Monica? Kind of an older sister/ best friend ?

I loathed Duke and especially loathed Anna being with Duke. I hated that the tango was one of their things. I don't care about Chase one way or another. I would have enjoyed finally Finola dancing as Anna without Duke. But it wasn't that important to me.
