A few years ago, Mishael wrote about some extended family circumstances (which I won't detail here), and she said that she began a process of reevaluating what was important for her life. After she left Y&R, she decided to live mainly in the Toronto region near family. She did a short arc on Chicago Med, but has mainly worked in Canada. Obviously she is willing to do some work in the USA. But I don't know if she still prefers to be based in Canada. She has definitely enjoyed producing films. Would she consider coming back to Y&R fulltime? I don't know. Based on what she said a few years ago, it's unlikely, but who knows.

EJ raped Belle's sister more than once. He tried to kill John. I don't think it's being overly moral for a viewer like myself to want her away from him. Personally I don't find rapists entertaining. And there's nothing that will justify it (for me). I think that for me, there is so much darkness and hatred in the real world nowawadays that I want my fictional dramas to have the bad guys lose. I don't need (or want) a show to be all sunshine and roses. I watch L&O.SVU. It's nuanced and shows various points of view, but in the end, the goal is to punish the rapist, and I find that satisfying.

The **Rumor** is that Aristotle Dumas is a pseudonym that Cane is using. Not proven yet. Discussed in more details with info on a June 2025 Dumas party reveal at (Link)

Damian, Lily, Jack, Diane, Victor, Nikki, Nick, Victoria, Michael, Lauren, etc, each receive invitations from Aristotle Dumas. Dumas is having a private party in the south of France on Friday June 13th. The invitation mentions something about "an extended stay in his summer home" departing from Nice, France (possibly on a yacht ? ? ) At the end of the episode, in the preview for week of June 2nd, Billy discusses with Sally that he is going to the Dumas party, too. [Ashley was there when Jack and Diane received their invitations. Not sure if Ashley gets an invitation or not; but Ashley was already planning to go back to France for mental health therapy.] So I guess it's the Newmans, the Abbotts, the Winters, and Michael/Lauren, (so far) who are in process of receiving invitations. And Chancellor Industries is involved due to Nikki. Of course Amanda as Dumas' attorney would be there. I assume other characters will be included also.

They've got all these BIPOC characters appearing regularly: Lily, Nate, Damian, Holden, and Audra; with somewhat less regular appearances by Devon, Amanda, and Amy. This was already an improvement. I thought some of this was in response to BeyondTheGates. I don't see how bringing in Cane-as-Dumas helps Lily in any way.

I didn't enjoy this episode.

Leslie's scheming has become repetitive and less interesting.

I don't understand why Ted let Leslie in to his hotel room. He should have called security immediately.

Sadly, the only thing JG knows how to do is resurrect old storylines and old characters. This is *not* good for the character of Lily at all. If she defeats Cane in business, fine, if he runs away. But if they fall in love? ewwww. I like Billy Flynn, but I'm not going to give the horrible character Cane a pass. Nope.

Tracy looks magnificent as always. Even when nuanced and vulnerable, she radiates magnificence.

That Bill/Martin fakeout. I know that Martin was only imagining throttling Bill. But what part of the entire scene was imagined and what was real? I mean *before* the imagined throttling -- did Martin verbally confront Bill out loud in public? Did Martin say out loud that he once did something bad? The fake waiter recorded it but I'm not sure what was actually said. The only thing I'm clear on is that Martin learned from the convo that Haley is pregnant.

That would be a stretch but not nearly as much of a stretch as the parentage retcon.

I never watched the prior Brook Lynn actresses, except for Briana Lane's brief stint. So I'm primarily familiar with Amanda's Brook Lynn. I did watch Lois and Ned decades ago when they first met and he was Eddie Maine. I do remember Lois wanting honesty and feeling weird about Quartermaine nonsense. I don't remember the details because I was watching it on live broadcast and it was so long ago, but I do remember in general what their characterizations were back then, (and that Wally was hot back then). There were many years I didn't watch GH at all because I objected to the mobster stuff. So I have missed a lot.

Thanks again for posting. (ugh to the idea, but thanks for finding it). There's a discussion now on the BillyFlynn thread "DAYS/Y&R: Casting Shocker!!" See page eight of that thread and following pages. I posted more over there since it seems Flynn will debut this summer, and I realized some of Mishael Morgan's interview is relevant to the Dumas reveal.

These things especially make the retcon weird. I mean all of the examples you cited, but especially those.

May 16th interview with Cherie Jimenez. 30 minutes long. (for returning viewers, she's the current Gabi -- mother of Will&Sonny's daughter Arianna. Cherie has been airing since June 2024). This was previously was posted on the spoiler thread because it mentioned the casting of Marissa Reyes as SORASed Arianna Horton, and the recent scene where Gabi noticed Arianna wasn't in her room. Now that all of this has aired, I'm bringing it over to the main thread, as there are no spoilers anymore. Cherie is 37, almost 38. Marissa is 21, playing an 18-year-old. (Actor ages per https://jason47.com/days/castbios3.html) Cherie is aware that she and Marissa look more like sisters than mother/daughter. Interestingly, Cherie said that in real life, her own mother was a teen when Cherie was born, and that people commonly mistake Cherie and her mom as sisters. Most of the interview is about Cherie as Gabi, getting cast, working with Brandon Barash, working with Casey Moss.

I just read a new post where PersonB was quoting personA and I wanted to comment on the post so I started to quote ... with I myself as the PersonC. I tried to quote what PersonB quoted from PersonA. It should have been attributed to PersonA, but before submitting the post, I checked to see how it would display, and it automatically misatributed PersonA's words to PersonB. So I didn't click to submit the post. So yes this is an ongoing glitch. I will need to take the time to go back and find the original post from PersonA to quote that.
