Ada, AW. Widowed three times in nine years.

Today was really couple heavy. Not much happened but I didn’t really have a problem with it. The scab writers really seem to be injecting more romance into the scripts, without hitting us over the head with it, and I like that. Subtlety is a good thing sometimes 😂😂 Tate/Holly was the best part of today. They were really sweet and charming and I’m glad that they’re finally going on a real date. I hope that Holly’s infatuation with Johnny continues to be a part of this storyline. I don’t see them as a couple or anything but it would still be good conflict for her and Tate in the future. And I still say that they need some friends their own age. It would add another layer to their storyline. Like a hunky jock or a Mimi-like character that Holly can be best friends with. I was surprised by Melinda today. She was actually used pretty well with Wendy. Her feelings about Li and her guilt over his death really should have been the reason why she was so determined to have Sloan take Nicole’s baby. Yeah, it’s not the best explanation in the world but it’s better than the non-explanation that we got. I hope Tripp and Wendy end up staying in Salem though. They are boring but I still think that there’s a lot that can be done with them. Ron and Co. totally lost interest in them and I’m hoping the scab writers came up with a storyline for them, or found a good way to weave them into somebody else’s. Johnny and Chanel’s perhaps?

I love how Nina reporting a crime is now considered a sin 😂😂 And even though Chris and Dan are back writing, I hope the thinning of the herd continues. It’s well passed the time for Cyrus to be killed off.

Not sure what to make of today’s Chad/Harris/Everett brofest, but I didn’t really mind it, even though Chad is a bit of a dick for not spending the entire day with his kids. Bruh, it’s Christmas 😂😂 I still don’t like Everett, but him being a part of the drug storyline with Harris and everybody could be interesting. I liked the Kiriakis family scenes, except for Konstantin’s part in it. He really is like the Leo Stark of this storyline. He just messes it up every time he’s on. The best part of this is the Alex/Xander dynamic. I hope they continue to keep building it up until the secret finally comes out and that Justin starts playing a bigger part in it as well. And I’m glad that we got updates about Bo/Hope and Will/Sonny. And, we got a new set! It kind of reminded me of the alley behind Shenanigans, from back in the day. I hope it’s put to good use and doesn’t just disappear like the kitchen at Sweet Bits did. Wasn’t really a fan with the lack of consistency with Stefan though. Yesterday, he was so determined to try and stop Clyde but today, he came off like such a victim. There’s gotta be someone that Stefan can reach out to in order to get Clyde killed. And, thank you @j swift! Hope you had a good holiday.

Merry Christmas y’all! 🎄🎄🎁 And even though it’s Christmas, I still don’t care about Leo. He deserves every bad thing that happens to him. I’m glad Stefan finally let somebody in his family know about Clyde, though those scenes seemed a little over the place. And I did laugh when EJ said he wasn’t the type of person that would take revenge anymore but was more than fine with doing that like only three months ago. I still say Stefan should go to Chad for help. That could be really interesting to see. I’m also glad that Holly confessed to Nicole about Johnny. I enjoy their mother-daughter scenes. The two actresses work well together. And the family bonding scene with Eric and Baby Jude was really nice too. This and Sloan’s reaction to that relationship are a really good added layer to this storyline. Everything else was ok.

Her delivery of that line had me rollin' 😂😂

One of my favorite episodes of the year! This is one of the things that makes Days what it is. And the ending was really beautiful as well. Which is why I’m dreading that spoiler that we saw in the Day of Days preview. But at least we finally learned what happens to all the retired ornaments 😂😂 l loved that Doug got a bad feeling about Konstantin from the very beginning. Too bad he didn’t get that feeling about Everett. And I’m glad we got a flashback of Doug’s first Christmas with the Hortons. Though I did lmfao hearing Alice’s line to Doug. “We’re perhaps the only family you’ve ever known… seeing as you were raised in an orphanage” Lmaoooo what? I get that she was trying to be nice but who the hell says something like that? 😂😂😂😂😂 Chad/Stephanie was really good too. It was a really nice closure scene but I hope this isn’t the end for them. Chad did move on a little too quickly, though I still think that this all should have happened a few months earlier than now. I also enjoyed the family bonding scenes between Brady, Tate and Theresa. EOB still needs work but she did seem more motherly today than she did the last time she had a scene with Tate. Brady and Theresa coming to terms with their mistakes as parents could be a good storyline. Btw, I agree with Theresa about one thing: why is the pub open on Christmas Day? Roman is such a tyrant 😂😂 Gotta say, I really have been enjoying most of the scab episodes. The Baby Jude kidnapping was a little lousy and all over the place, but overall, I feel like the day to day episodes have improved.

Not much happened, but I really enjoyed today. It was one of those days where those bonds between family and friends were on full display and I always enjoy episodes like that. And they finally remembered Johnny’s fake eye 😂😂 John/Marlena, Steve/Kayla and Roman/Kate reminiscing and getting ready for Christmas was the best part of today. It really is nice to see how far they’ve all come over all these years. I see Steve used a little revisionist history when he brought up that Christmas where he was keeping John in his apartment but that partially could have been because of the whole Roman/John rewrite lol But that harmonica though… 😂😂😂 I really liked Chanel looking out for Paulina as well. Btw, Happy Birthday Holly 🎉🎉🎈 I felt bad for her today lol it’s really sucks to have a crappy birthday. I don’t blame her for getting plastered 😂😂 I’m still enjoying the actress. She plays drunk, angsty teen really well. And this plays into what may happen to her in the future, I don’t mind it. It could be a really good storyline.
