Xander and Sarah didn’t do much today, but l liked how sweet and dorky they were. Lindsey Godfrey really has improved over time. You can finally tell that Sarah has actual feelings for Xander. I liked the Johnson family dinner as well, even though I’m not too sure about Tripp and Wendy’s treasure hunt game. Maybe it’ll led to something interesting happening. It could end up being a decent sweeps event. And I hope something interesting comes out of Steve’s questioning of Everett too. I wouldn’t mind him and Kayla playing a part in that storyline. Harris vs Stefan is still very random to me. It seems like another one of those things that the scab writers needed to establish a little better. And this is a nitpick, but why did we hear the sounds of helicopter flying overhead when Harris was talking to Ava? Is Salem that dangerous? 😂😂

Today was a strange one. I’m not really sure about the way Sloan was written. It almost seemed out of character for her. Her guilt over what’s happened makes sense but she’s never seemed like the type to be intimidated by anyone, not even Marlena. And what was this implication that John and Marlena could be judgmental all about? Maybe this was written around the time that the BTS troubles were reaching their fever pitch. I wouldn’t mind Sloan’s guilt driving her to become an alcoholic. Even though I still would have preferred her guilt driving her to sleep with Dimitri 😂😂 And I’m not sure about Harris either. His anti-Dimera attitude seemed to come out of nowhere. Were his feelings for Ava really that deep already? I’m glad that Alex finally apologized to Justin though. I hope we get some more insight into the way he’s been feeling. I’m still wondering when he even got his law degree 😂😂

Good episode, even though the Leo propaganda was totally unnecessary. He cares so much about gay rights and gay men yet constantly tortures gay men. Go figure. And I’m also not really sure how Chad, or anyone for that matter, could find common ground with someone who sexually assaulted them but whatevs. Were those scenes somehow written before the strike or something? As for the Chad/Everett friendship, it’s still not making much sense to me. If the show wanted to build that up, they really needed to take their time with it. The two of them should definitely still be having trust issues right now over everything that happened. And you don’t really get that vibe in their scenes together. I still am really liking the sense of community that Days has had lately, and today really reflected that. It’s nice that we’re being reminded that everybody knows each other. Everyone and everything is coming together rather than just being stuck in their own story bubble.

I hear Peter Porte is available 😂😂 They just need to invest more in Lucas, which they haven’t done in years and which is probably one of the reasons why Ryan Carnes left in the first place.

I was saying the same thing about Holly's OD. I like how other characters, like Marlena and Paulina and Tripp, who all don't even have much of a connection to Holly, are being weaved into it. It's making Salem feel like a community again.
