  1. We’re lucky they didn’t just “lightly” redress the same GCAC room they used to give to everyone on this show.
  2. There's at least some thought put into it, which I don't think would have happened had Ed Scott not returned to work with the production designers.
  3. Jane Elliot and the late Gerald Anthony were a hoot together. It’s crazy to think Anthony won an Emmy for playing Marco Dane on GH and not OLTL.
  4. From that segment, it seems like Julie Hanna Carruthers was very much in charge of leading production. I thought most of her AMC run and Port Charles were horribly lit under her watch, tbh. Whatever, hoping, it looks better once it goes through post-production.
  5. I guess? It was a hit and run, and Dorian was the driver.
  6. That disgusting woman needs a hobby to take her mind off her guilty ass husband.
  7. JFP’s OLTL started to significantly outperform the rest of the ABC Daytime lineup in W18-49 for a period of time (not just the Georgie story, but the misguided story of Dorian causing Jessica’s miscarriage also had high demos). That’s what partly led to ABC giving her the job at GH.
  8. I just hate that it will probably be all about Jason and his box of pain, when he ignored and demeaned his family by choice for most of the past 30 years.
  9. I can’t find the interview anymore, but I could have sworn Jane said her return to GH had “been in the works” for a while in 1996 but plans evolved. I could have not remembered correctly though. I think Holly left a month or so after Tracy did in 1993. In some ways, it’s hard to imagine Tracy and Holly were ever on the show under Riche. I’m not sure if Tracy would have fit in on Labine’s GH interpretation. Labine might have loved the black comedy inherent to Tracy’s character, but Tracy was already one of the more complex female GH characters before that era, so she didn’t really need a ton of tweaking.
  10. Tracy’s 1993 exit, in some ways, reminds me a lot of how British soaps often wrote out important female characters - all of their core relationships crumbling, sentimental moments with some of those key relationships, and leaving with baggage, but also hope for the future. Jane did come back for that stint in 1996 before going over to The City. From what Jane has said, it sounded like the original plan was to have Tracy return to GH only in 1996, but when Morgan Fairchild wouldn’t renew her contract, someone at ABC had the idea to shift Tracy to The City. Were things really that bad between Riche and JE? Did JE leave on her own accord, or did Riche opt to not renew her contract? As has been said, I knew JE publicly criticized the anti-choice stance Tracy took, but was there other tension between her and Riche? @dc11786 - the music was provided by Marty Davich, who Shelley Curtis wisely brought over to GH from DAYS.
  11. Honestly, most of the people watching this game aren’t watching daytime TV live. This is more so to create awareness and word of mouth about the new show premiering. They might also hope this will drive people to sample it on Paramount+ rather than commit to tune in live each day.
  12. She seems more like the black sheep of her affluent family, maybe more so in the vein of Tracy Angelica Quartermaine.
  13. That was beautiful, and nice to get that behind the scenes view as well. Filming in Atlanta was the right move, they would never get these many nice-looking and big sets in LA or NYC.
  14. I wonder if Tamara Tunie played a role in the casting of Clifton Davis. I noticed they both co-chaired The International Black Theatre Festival that took place last summer, before any casting was ever announced for BTG.
  15. It’s too bad we never saw JE with Sarah Joy Brown’s Carly. LW is committed and that’s more than we can ask for these days, but she’ll never be *that* Carly to me when the character’s past is brought up.
  16. Tracy always knew AJ was troubled, but what she likely meant was Carly did cost him his sobriety when she was trying to conceal Michael’s paternity, and then proceeded to cut off any relationship he could have with his son, but then also proceeded to also have said son in constant danger because she somehow thought the protection of being with a mob boss was safer for him. Not to mention, he was directly responsible for AJ’s final death. Tracy and AJ shared a great scene 6:04 in during Tracy’s 1993 exit where she warned him (in a gentle/loving way) to stay sober and keep his life together, and that he was the future of the family.
  17. The writing for Trina/Kai is just awful and clearly giving them a bone is just box-checking from FV and these writers with little to no real thought behind it. I hope Tabyana gets on her agent to start finding her better work in streaming or film. GH is not cutting it.
  18. Single-handedly keeping the Q’s alive as a family honestly. GH needs to worship the ground that woman walks on now more than ever.
  19. Looking forward to seeing Tracy read Carly for the filth she is tomorrow.
  20. 2025 BAFTA Nominations
  21. Jane Elliott, as always, proves she’s the true MVP of this show. The show needs her more than ever now.
  22. Kevin Feige had the entire production redone, so most of what was originally shot was thrown away. In the original draft of what was shot, they didn’t even have any of the supporting cast from the Netflix show and apparently the full Daredevil costume didn’t have an appearance until the 4th episode (come on now!). What they’re releasing is a totally retooled production that’s more of a continuation of the Netflix show (which Feige didn’t control, his nemesis Ike Perlmutter did). I think the changes that were made were the right ones, and I’m hopeful this will be good.
  23. I think it’s ridiculous when fans demand actors share their thoughts and condolences about fellow actors they’re close with on a personal level (these people are obviously grieving the losses like any normal person would). A few years ago, Leslie spoke about being close with Jane Elliott and how they knew each other before GH when they were working actors in NYC. My thoughts are definitely with the people who worked with Leslie for so long.
  24. Michael Park stayed working and has definitely carved out a successful career for himself post-daytime. Unless he’s hired be the lead patriarch of a completely new daytime soap (ala Tamara Tunie), it’s best he stay away from daytime and keep the momentum his acting career has in other vehicles.
