  1. I think it aired in October 1994. I remember Bill and Susan Hayes mentioning their 20th (real-life) anniversary, which would have been at that time. And it aired at night.
  2. Very sorry about this news. I was wild about Quint and Nola.
  3. It's about time, lol. I remember Jennifer telling us that they did one with Eileen Kearney and Jennifer Houlton together. Hope we get to see that one.
  4. Series of articles from 1969, from The Austin-American, newspaper, with behind-the-scenes info re Love is a Many-Splendored Thing and As the World Turns.
  5. Thanks! I don’t know why I can’t remember that because Joel Crothers was the reason I started watching in the first place.
  6. Well, I saw David Gale on SS first so seeing him as a villain later was a change for me, lol. Ken Stevens died but I can't remember how. Laurie raised his son, Clay. Ken's first wife and mother of Clay had been killed in a plane crash with her new husband shortly before. Ken had gotten Jill and Laurie pregnant at the same time but Laurie's baby died (or she had a miscarriage, can't remember the details).
  7. Haha---yeah, that one's cute.
  8. Some articles re Bryna Laub, who published the Daytime Serial newsletters in the 70s. The articles are from 1973, 1974, and 1975.
  9. @carolinegI loathed Johnny when that story line first aired and still do, lol. I was so glad when he left.
  10. She's really good because she makes me loathe Penny, lol!
  11. @slick jones Re Marilyn Maxwell & RTPP, I found an article that said she had been considered for the role of Constance McKenzie, but died before a decision was made.
  12. I don't care for Belle and unfortunately Shawn is mainly seen as her appendage these days. Shawn and Eli are cousins but I'm not sure that's ever acknowledged. Shawn should be around for whatever is happening with Doug (especially since Hope will be a no-show unless there is a recast), but the last time Shawn mentioned him, he referred to him by his first name, rather than Grandpa.
  13. @Paul RavenCarolee's movie was a Sunday afternoon special and, as was mentioned above, it was about the baby having Down syndrome. Althea finally having a showdown with her 13-year old brat, Penny. From the May 14, 1969, episode.
  14. Don't think I would have found the name if you hadn't found the date!
  15. That does make sense. Ron has finally gotten me interested in something anyway, lol.
  16. I'm really happy for Bill. So glad he isn't going to have to play out a depressing dementia storyline. I saw many people thinking he had it in real life. Obviously he does not. I've never seen Doug acting evil in any way before. Even when he was supposed to be "bad" he was more of a rascal than anything, lol. Also glad they've calmed Julie down. Hope that continues.
  17. @amybrickwallace Yes, it is. I'm sure Bill and Susan were thrilled to hear from them too. Great to see my favorites getting so much love lately. And I might be shipping Wesley and Gregg now (have no idea whether they're more than friends of course), lol.
  18. Honestly, the picture amused me more than anything. Victoria especially looks ridiculous. You'd think if they were such a great couple that they'd want to create their own "moments," instead of trying to copycat the original popular Days couples. They've made it all the way back to Doug and Julie now, so I guess Tom and Alice will be next.
