  1. Last night I was thinking why does GH has such a large amount of dead wood. Other than Frank's incompetence, I wonder if the show is just setting up a catastrophic event down the road to take out some of these useless characters that we've in the very least grown to tolerate (or like). But aside from that random thought; Jax and Willow would be the PERFECT characters to have caught in mob crossfire, the repercussions would be fascinating to watch.
  2. At this point he's just making matters worse for him and bringing more attention to himself. I look forward to Jax's departure onscreen 🤣 because I know he's going to keep up with the twitter shenanigan's. I'm still in disbelief they placed Tristan Rogers in time out for something smaller.
  3. I remember when The Soup on the E! network used to always include clips of this show in their segments, mocking the show (height of the Ron Moss/Ridge versus Kyle Lowder/Rick saga), they would have a field day with some of the scenes taking place on the show today lol
  4. He really is. The show needs to do everything it can to hold onto JS/Chase.
  5. Considering Tripp's troubled childhood, there's a reason for him to have a edge about him, and a potential there to dig deeper into his character, but as someone above said, Ron isn't able to do that.
  6. I have noticed Sprina does have a big Twitter following.
  7. Jax is really expendable as a character at this point. The writers could easily have him stumble upon the fact that Sonny is alive and create some event where either he dies or lands in a coma (of course Nina would be relieved, but feel some type of guilt over Jax's condition or demise). It ups the stakes in the Sonny story and takes care of some deadwood on the show.
  8. There’s definitely some fire there between Tripp and nuChanel.
  9. I'm starting to think that when Sonny is revealed to be alive and well, it's not going to be all rainbows and butterflies. Who knows how long the writers plan on having Sonny remain an amnesiac, and secondly you're right Frenchbug, despite how well intentioned Jason/Carly were with this arranged marriage, I can see Sonny resenting the two, whether he regains his memory or not.
  10. Please don't attempt to put Drew back with Sam, I can only imagine how painful it will be watching scenes with Kelly Monaco and Cameron Mathison in them.
  11. I'm not interested in seeing this pointless character (Hayden) revisited at all
  12. *Downloads the peacock app* 🤣 This is going to be one of the biggest events online for soaps since the Prospect Park premiere of OLTL and AMC.
  13. The rape storyline was penned by the Dobson's correct?
  14. TBH the Judge Carson story should've been a bigger deal, but instead seemingly ended in such a anti-climatic way.
  15. Marla Gibbs and AJ McLean. Ken Corday is really taking this renewal seriously 🙄
  16. A Doris Quinlan and Harding Lemay team may have saved TD, so many missteps mentioned in that article made by the higher ups which pretty much doomed the show until cancellation in 1982.
  17. ATWT under Labine would've probably had Carly becoming an ordained minister while also becoming novelist (Blake, GL), a brand new character that works as a cigarette girl at the newest club in Oakdale, and probably would have had James wreak havoc in Oakdale like Carmen did in Springfield.
  18. A writing team where Lorraine Broderick, Richard Culliton, and Carolyn Culliton are elevated to the helm would be ideal for this show. It's funny how over at GH, I approve Dan O'Connor being the top scribe, but wished that he had stronger script and breakdown writers. It's the complete opposite at Days where I despise Ron Carlivati as HW, but his writing team contains some of the strongest currently employed in daytime.
  19. Is it true they're teasing a David and Victoria pairing? I don't know how I feel about that.
  20. I noticed that too lol I need GH to do better 🤣
  21. I wonder what someone like Gary Tomlin/Chris Whitesell would've done with Santa Barbara.
  22. I've always wondered how Pat Falken Smith would have done on The Doctors; because out of the three that helped to revive General Hospital in the late 70s into early 80s(Marland and DePriest), Smith was the only one who had not written for TD. I assume she would've kept some of the focus on the Dancy family (probably giving them a pub or boarding house to run) while also focusing on the Powers and probably would have put Mike in a more engaging love triangle than Sarah/Colin. Not sure how she would have written the Aldrich family; such as Steve, Mona, and Carolee. Looking back at GL and ATWT in 1999, I'm going to be honest, I think GL would've benefited more from Hogan at the helm. ATWT still had some of it's soul/foundation intact. GL was continuing to descend in quality and getting further away from the show fans had come to know and love. Hogan may have been received better at GL considering he'd have more room there to create his own characters and focus on some of the new ones brought on by B&E.
  23. It annoys me how Sami has shown zero growth, especially after Nicole practically served as a surrogate mother to Allie during the rape/pregnancy storyline.
