It is SO nice to hear someone speak intelligently about a soap opera instead of ass-kissing and giving the standard, by-the-book answers.

She also said that Mickey and Maggie should be the new Tom and Alice. That is so true. So much rich Horton history there, so why not take advantage of it?

Emmy nom material for Allison Sweeney. I know if she read that, she is hitting the roof right now! Maybe [!@#$%^&*] has penned her redemption that will take place this fall, and if she did, it's about time.

It really does my heart good to see a splendid and talented writer, and a woman of color, so saught after and being given the chance to put her vision and stamp on the soap world.

And also, for all of you who write blogs on this site.......she may be reading them as well, so come up with your best stuff. You never know.

I like how she's complimentary towards JER and praises Passions.

Overall, I was very impressed with her words and I wish that she could join an ABC soap, because she appears to have a grasp of what viewers need to see.

I just appreciate the fact that she approaches daytime with an "outside-the-box" perspective. Too much of daytime is written by rote: Which love triangle now? Who gets pregnant now? Who gets kidnapped now? It's like plugging characters into pre-set stories regardless of the characters themselves, just because those are the stories that daytime tells and the way it tells them.

It's worth exploring new territory and experimenting with character. Daytime needs people who think this way -- even if some of their stuff flops -- if it has a chance of surviving beyond this decade, IMO.

It's like they found a crazy soap fan, let her write some stuff, and said "Here, take a job!"

She's a frickin genius and I pray to God that she and Hogan do some amazing things at DAYS (can't believe I just said that) and I hope Hogan realizes what a goldmine this woman is. She knows exactly what the millions of fans want to see. She said everything that we've been saying for years. Hopefully, her success prompts the other networks to do the same.

But...I have one problem with one little thing she said.......Brian Frons...amazing man? WTF?

Hey--thanks a lot.

But I still believe that [!@#$%^&*] had a fling with Brian Frons.

I'm not buying her denial of that.

I know half of New York was cutting their eyes when she claimed nothing was going on.

I'm still stuck on her being fans of Mimi and Shawn. I'm sure Farah Fath and Jason Cook are great people in real life, but they're horrible actors. It worries me a little that she doesn't see that.

That being said, I'm really happy with most everything else she had to say and I'm looking forward to seeing what she does on the show.

I'm especially glad to hear what she said about family relationships and refocusing on DIALOGUE. If she can give us good dialogue, just imagine what actors like SN, MBE, PR, KA and MA can do with it...
