"Because both soaps are produced under the Sony umbrella, arrangements were made to accommodate Koslow’s schedule. “We reached out to her,” Griffith explains. “She was contracted on DAYS, but because of Sony we were able to reach out to them, and they very graciously agreed to let us work out a scheduling thing so that we could shoot when she wasn’t shooting over there.”

Interesting. Koslow is off-contract at DAYS since June 3, 2024, as Jason has noted in closing credits from then through now.

So either someone/something is mistaken; or that's a DAYS spoiler that she's been taken back on contract at DAYS sometime in the past 10 months.
fyi @JAS0N47

Yes, I noticed that as well. It remains to be seen whether Griffith said that in error or if Koslow has returned to contract at DAYS. I hope for the latter.

I've seen her first episode today and it's interesting how she was not like Kate. Even her voice was slightly different.

  • God, I wish Matt were faking his amnesia. Attempting to redeem a sexual predator is just about the most tone-deaf thing you could do on a soap opera in 2026.

  • The show has gotten so cheap that they have Joshua Morrow of all people doing the voiceovers. Sad!

Oh wow. Didn’t think it could be any worst, but of course it can. Lmao

I was wondering if she was airing yet due to falling off from viewing again. Thank you for the tip. Will find time this weekend. :)

She appears in the Canadian Friday episode, which is the US Monday. She got the "Today, the role of Jill Abbott will be played by Lauren Koslow" voiceover from Joshua Morrow.

Yay for the voiceover and YAY for it being Joshua Morrow!

Glad to see Noah spending time with family at the main house. It’s too bad he has no other siblings around (other than Mariah) but I don’t even think they’ve had a scene yet.

Does Abby even still talk to her family at this point? I know she’s on recurring but damn. The lack of involvement the Newmans or even Abbotts have had in the kidnapping of Dominic is pretty glaring. They just have her on an island! That’s why they shouldn’t tell a major storyline like that if the character isn’t even on contract. So much gets missed!

LK is a pro and you can tell from her first episode that she took the assignment seriously and to heart.

I’d say if Jess doesn’t want to return full time, it’s time to recast Jill. She’s needed on the canvas in a permanent capacity, IMO. Whether that’s with LK or someone competent is fine with me at this point.

Have yet to see Lauren Koslow as Jill, but I will say this: if we could have a Cady McClain/Melissa Reeves situation with Koslow/Jess Walton as Jill, I would not be mad at that idea. Have Koslow come in when they need Jill in Genoa City and Walton is unable to travel, and when she is, she makes those appearances (or she does her 'Zoom' appearances). I know that is not necessarily a Y&R thing to do; it would be a way to ensure Jill is active on the canvas.

Jill needs to be more than just active on the canvas, though. She needs to be doing what she does best: making life miserable for everyone around her.
