Michael & Lauren were in today’s CDN episode, but yeah it’s pretty hilarious that we’re supposed to believe they’ve been there this whole time when they’ve barely been on. 

-- No, Nick and Sharon would not listen to Carter and allow themselves to be locked into a room.

-- If Victor is so damn powerful, why can't he do anything to protect his family? So much bluster.

-- Eric Braeden is getting slower and worse with his lines, giving Maurice Benard a run for his money.

 

In EB defense he's 84 and in recent years has gone through cancer treatment, so I give him a pass.

Yes and the show should recognize that instead of pretending that Victor is still some macho power player as in years gone by.

This nonsense of them being cut off is insane. If Adam could fly to the South of France and scale a mountain to reach them, then why doesn't some one go down the same damn mountain?

Maybe if they were on an island it would make a little more sense.

Victor and Jack etc have been completely out of touch with their business/family for weeks and nobody is concerned?

Possibly the worst story the show has done.

Totally. As we know, legends like EB won't be with us forever. We can quibble about his performance, but EB always gives it his all.

Agree but 'his all' at this point is lacking. That's not shade at Eric, just facts.

There is an opportunity for a story of Victor realizing that he's slowing down and taking stock.

Of course Josh Griffith could not write that. It could be more compelling and believable than Victor being the Alpha Male that everyone is in fear of.

Meanwhile over here I just feel sorry for the cast having to act out this garbage all summer long.

Obviously JG must be channeling his inner JER with this whole story just playing out in the same location and the same dialogue being repeated over and over and over again and yet barely a day or two have gone by.

Like Days and Passions 20 years ago under Reilly’s pen you probably could miss a whole week of Y&R and not miss anything at all at the moment. At this rate wake me up when September ends.

The difference is I actually remember being entertained for those 6 months summer 2003 when Chad/Whitney/Theresa/Ethan/Gwen/Fox etc…were stuck in LA (where they literally left in the middle of summer and came back in time for Christmas after only being there for like two days in Passions time.)
 

JG is putting me into an early grave for how bland and boring this “hot summer story” is…..
