I haven't watched today's episode yet, but maybe that was the point. Maybe they're trying to move Ted in a more unlikable/villain direction and it wouldn't work with the previous actor. Or maybe it's just that transition phase which will take some getting used to.

The older Ted was more unlikeable. The character came across warmer and mo sympathetic today whereas the older one portrayed him with a dark side. Thats why I said his scenes with Leslie will tell alot bc thats where he comes across the most like a villain and had me feeling bad for her at times

Robinson is less imposing than Johnson was and that makes the character seem completely different. If anything he came off as someone who could have played Doug.

When it comes to nuTed I'm not going to dwell on it but he isn't for me. The voice, the look and the low energy is not working for me. Maurice had a commanding presence and I don't see this actor ever matching that. I know he'll stick around so I'm just going to focus on the other characters in the story going forward.

Another thing I gotta say is that I am at my wits end with Derek. I don't wanna hear about this mediocre white man with his shirt off. He could be butt naked and it won't change that he is absolutely one of the worst actors who has ever been on contract in soap history. To see his performance today when we have our first recast really made me want to snap. The show needs to be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for keeping this guy around. He has less talent than Charity Rahmer. At least with her there was a comedic value but Derek gives nothing.

He’s definitely not for me. He comes across very meek. Trisha is going to eat this man alive in scenes.

Too soon to make any judgments about nuTed, but I will say that I think they should've gone older.

And I also saw some chemistry between Bill and Leslie as well lol but Bill's part in Ted and Leslie's affair/Bill and Ted's friendship needed to be established a lot sooner than when the reveal happened. Their relationship could be a really good counterpoint to the Duprees.

But I really liked the parallel that was drawn between Kat and Chelsea, and what their father's did. I like their relationship and I hope they go on to investigate Laura's accident. I just hope it doesn't come until something happens between Eva and Tomas.

Btw, Happy Birthday, Eva! A lot of birthdays today 😂😂

When Kat was in Ted's hotel room and he wasn't there, she started to write a note to leave for him, and then thought Why? and texted him instead.  Love that.

It's looking like I may be in the minority, but nuTed is a major improvement to me. I agree, it will take a few days to get used to the higher pitched voice and smaller stature, but his acting is so much better. I can feel the emotions in his voice and face and it just feels more real and natural.

Kat was great today too, giving us the tears and her softer side.

Loved Leslie/Bill - we need more of this!  Did y'all notice Leslie's snake necklace?? So creepy, but fitting for her haha.

Tomorrow should be an updated intro with Keith, unless they repeat the second one for days until they get it updated.

I thought Keith did great as well. His scene with Colby was what sold me. He displayed the emotions that a man who knows he's made a mistake and wants to rectify should have.

Its funny how Maurice has been given passes in his acting that other actors have not.

What Keith has shown me is that he can atleast keep up with the ladies in his story instead of them acting circles around him when Maurice was playing the role.

Today was definite a good episode day with surprising 1:1 scenes between Bill/Silk Press Sheila & SPS/Kat.  And the final long scene between SPS/Kat with the close ups and cliffhanger reminds me so much of old school P & G/Bell soaps.

It fits since Judy Tate (script writer) wrote for P & G soaps for years and Zimmerman (breakdown writer) worked on both Bell soaps.

I even liked the Ashley/Derek scenes only because it feels as if there is a point to the scenes (lead up to a break up perhaps).  Andre/Ashley having a scene tells me that the show is still testing them out.. and I think showing the growing disconnect between Derek/Ashley will eventually lead to the two possibly dating.

NuTed.. he seems more humble and less boastful/confident than the previous Ted.  Perhaps the show felt the previous Ted couldn't play remorse/humble.. and they made the switch.  Time will tell.

Lastly... it was a Dani free day :)

No to Andre/Ashley. I'm not sensing any connection.

Kat is playing a dangerous game going against Silk Press Sheila.

And so it's Andre and Ashley again? Why don't they go ahead and make something bad happen between them? I don't trust the stereotypical vibe. I don't.

It's evident that there was reset of Derek and Ashley's storyline. The attempt to build tension over Derek not resting enough after being injured on the job was not working but the tension over moving in together is. The characters are still not thrilling, but today they at least were worth paying attention to. The writers do want Ashdre and they are easing toward it again.

Andre/Ashley are a mismatch and not in a cute opposites attract sort of way.

He is a very stylish photographer, independently wealthy, wordly  and she is a simple, struggling nurse with limited experiences.

He has been having a covert sexual relationship with an older divorced woman and she is involved with a meat and potatoes blue collar  dude.

Just  don't see what the attraction would be on either side.

When put very plainly it wouldn't make sense, but you could say that Ashley would prefer someone that can pay his own way without sharing expenses and has more than a working class experience. Andre might want someone more stable and level headed. Of course the issue is that the characters don't match despite the plausibility of a connection making s
