DAYS just can't do business storylines. I'd still like to know how Gabi ran a successful fashion brand.

If I worked for DiMera, I'd be actively searching LinkedIn and Indeed and anything else to find a new job. Their constant merry-go-round of who's in charge is ridiculous.

Side note: It's funny how people will refer to Eric as being so virtuous (ex-priest and all), but isn't he also a convicted felon for drunk driving and KILLING someone? I mean, say what you will about Daniel Jonas, but the man is dead because of this virtuous ex-priest.

I think TPTB know they can literally put on whoever doing whatever and it'll do well in the context of Peacock. I don't think they use Leo because they think he's amazing. He's like the one on a Housewives show who stirs the pot but isn't actually a character. He's useful to move other stuff forward, they use him to do that.

Of course, I'm jaded right now because GH is giving me good adventure with characters I don't even really know and this show, with lots of characters I've enjoyed on and off for years, gave me the stupid magic flower nonsense. So, maybe there are writers for Days who, like, think and make choices based on what they think is good. Not really evident to me as a viewer, but I suppose it's possible.

I’m tired of Gabi/Stefan. They both can go away.

As for EJ, I rest my case over what I said about the writing team being tired of him. Hopefully, all this different kind of writing for him is just being built up in order for him to take a darker turn at some point.

I’m still intrigued by Dimitri though and what the endgame is for Kate and that storyline. I just hope it’s done well and doesn’t take the cliched route. Based on the spoilers, we definitely don’t need a third person in the pissing contest.

And agreed with everyone that it would be interesting if it turns out that he and Andrew had had a thing when he was masquerading as Agent Kyle.

Nice to see Peter again. His scenes with Kate were the only reason to watch this mess of a show.

EJ/Nicole/Eric who's the father switch the test results Sloan Peterson.....was zzz zzz

Why the hell should EJ care about Nicole sleeping with Eric? The story just makes no sense.

Kayla back to work yet her husband is doing dangerous work and her brother is in a coma. In what planet?

Eric looked good!

Chad looked hot!

That's all I got!

Time to eat some breakfast!!

I think EJ would care for a lot of reasons. He does genuinely care about Nicole and I’m sure pride is a big part of it as well. He doesn’t want to lose anything or anyone to Eric.

    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
