So Lily has decided to get into the hotel game. Seems Devon sold GCAC.

Is there another lame story on the way? Can't see the point of this, unless they want to introduce another cramped, empty meeting place.

Nate and Elena at the penthouse. Trying to recall how many characters have ownedit/lived there and the decor never changes. It's not like it's exquisitely decorated.

Natel got a love scene and a bedroom set. They should consider themselves blessed that they didn't have to make out on the sofa like other couples.

So let’s see here, Chloe has stolen money from BFF Chelsea, kidnapped BFF Chelsea’s son Connor and ran off with him for weeks, shot BFF Chelsea’s husband twice, tried to run him down, blew him up in a cabin, faked her suicide in front of BFF Chelsea, aided an obviously mentally ill BFF Chelsea to kill Rey, and well has deceived BFF Chelsea on other numerous occasions that now we should feel bad for Chloe for Chelsea severing all ties to her? Couldn’t happen to a nicer sociopath like Chloe.

Yesterday’s Phyllis/Diane scenes were a highlight though. About time to see Diane gloat back in Phyllis’ face while staying true to her personal agenda at hand.

Diane’s return (and the potential for Allie as an Abbott) distracted me from how irritated I was that they so easily disposed of Keemo as a means to bring her on. But if they end up ditching Allie after making her a boring, bookish stereotype/Mary Sue, it’ll all be for naught. There aren’t many options for her if Noah doesn’t work out as a romantic partner. Chance? Eh.

So Victoria fooled everyone and got all of the money. I admit that it WOULD be something Victoria would do...I'm surprised that the writers would let her do it. So kudos. And now Ashland wants revenge. His exit story?

Lol at Imani setting Nate up with this dinner when she know she did not make the reservation for 3.

I continued to enjoy Diane lording it over Phyllis that she's back in. And I have to say that I've been really enjoying MS playing subtle. You can tell Phyllis wants to explode...BUT CAN'T. And it plays so well over MS's face and her body language. I know we were mentioning how the Phyllis who always is insecure and is her own worst enemy is the best Phyllis over Superwoman Phyllis...and this would be why. The subtlety is fascinating to watch.

I'm finding myself over Billy being all up in Victoria's business. So is Lily judging from her expression.

There’s good reason why I’m starting to FF through all the Newman scenes except for Nick and Sharon. Same old same old garbage. It would be more interesting if the show would actually have them actually actively competing against Chancellor-Winters for actually getting scoops, tips, interviews instead of what we’re seeing.

The Abbotts and anything Imani related is where it’s at currently but that’s only because three actresses are carrying the weight of show’s dreck at the moment.

    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
