That Stitch-as-bio-father speculation has been circulating for many many months, ever since Stitch was in town last year stalking Abby and holding Mariah captive.

It's just speculation but ...

Why was Stitch in town? He said it was to go to a retirement party for a former colleague at the hospital, and then he was going back to wherever he was living, and that he had to go back home to be near wherever his son Max was institutionalized.  But then why did Stitch take that colleague's job at the hospital? Had he been around way back when and sneaked into the hospital to mess with the conception or implantion process?  As mentioned above, the *speculation* is that he wanted to replace the child that Abby miscarried.

I hope Dominic is not Stitch's kid.  Stitch's son Max from his first wife, Stitch's sister Kelly (played by Watros and McClain), and his mother Maureen (played by Meredith Baxter), and his dead father *all* had serious mental illness and violence issues.  And then there was Stitch's behavior last year.  The whole family had issues.  The genes are there.

There is no way I want to see Abby raising a violent child.  The character of Abby is too vapid, and M.O. would not be able to handle that.  And the show couldn't write it.  Plus, if this speculation came true, then they'd write Max escaping from the mental institution to kill his baby brother.  All awful.

Every time a Newman complains that Sally got Summer an amazing job, one that Summer loves, I just roll my eyes so far back in my head. Like literally Summer could quit and come home if this was just the worst thing to ever happen. Hell now she's offering her mom a job. I wish the show would just stop mentioning this.

I'm not familiar with Robert Newman's work on GL but he was fine today. But I also enjoyed Burgi.

Kidnap you and replace you with a double who rapes your wife?.Forgiven and forgotten

Arrange to have your rival's husband poisoned to frame yours? No worries, in fact it's kind of a turn on for the poisoner and victim who are inching towards each other.

Try to murder the man who ran over your daughter? Go work for him.

Get someone a job that they were free to turn down but chose to take and ended up loving it? Unforgiveable!

And I don’t think he seemed *that* odd next to AH, but we didn’t have any lovey-dovey stuff yet.

It’s overkill for someone who hasn’t done anything that horrible. Maybe this is a long play to get viewers to root for Sally—have her horribly mistreated before her inevitable triumph—but it’s not fun to watch, and this is the namesake of Darlene Conley’s Sally Spectra, who could read a bitch for filth! It’s kinda degrading.

Robert Newman is SO much better than Richard Burgi in this role. Burgi brought good looks, but nothing else. He was clipped, short, emotionless, and never really threatening.

I’ve seen RB play other roles really well, but for some reason, Ashland was never a fit. When I read that he had chemistry with Amelia Heinle, I couldn’t see it.

RN was like a shot in the arm. I call it a very good recast.

LOL, someone like EB just needs to go on ahead and break that fourth wall and say "Why the hell do we keep talking about this $hit, when I was Summer's age, nobody handed me $hiy, I had to fight for my opportunities. She loves her job. Now would you all kindly shut the hell up about it!"

RN is a true professional. He endured, not just with or without Zimmer, he endured through those Peapack years, still being a viable character and actor, which is no mean feat.

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
