See, I watch those Peapack clips and I think at least they went outside once in a while and the "sets" were nice and big (since they were actual places).

 

I'm feeling him with Jill, Lauren, or, believe it or not, Nina. I don't see Nina with the character Ashland but I could see Tricia Cast and Robert Newman working well together.

Amelia Heinle did an eating storyline almost 30 years ago on Loving so it would be in her wheelhouse for sure. 

 

I had no idea she had that story on Loving, haha!

Zimmer went on at length about the conditions in Peapack including trying to find a bathroom. I think the main 'show house' only had one or two or something for the entire production. I think some had to relieve themselves in the bushes at some point? After Peapack I think just four walls and a roof (and not changing in the back of a car) is 5x5 for GL alum.

Exactly.  Today's soaps might have the crappiest of crappy production values, but at least no one's sweating their balls off anymore in Peapack!

I think that is partly down to how immaturely Amelia comes across onscreen. It's also why she has had almost no successful romantic partners in her run. 

They should just pair Robert with someone else. I don't remember him being a big chemistry magnet on GL but I'm sure he would be fine with, I don't, Phyllis I guess (she's still there, isn't she?).
