Well I guess at least with Chanel it was more of a "charming" horny with him trying to woo her and what not, whereas with Gabi it's just, "I'll f-ck you in front of Jake if I have to."

And I don't think they've given a good reason as the why Rafe doesn't dump Ava beyond not wanting to hurt her feelings.

Yeah Rafe just dragging this on with Ava is crazy if he’s this into Nicole.

So happy Abby has the Salem brain but I’m not looking forward to her obviously getting kidnapped. I’m so tired of that happening on this show.

I almost think Gabi/Johnny might be interesting if they had any chemistry.  She does have a kid with his gay brother, but I could almost see where the show maybe could go with Johnny/Gabi as non-devil schemers.  Unfortunately, I feel like we are going to lose a lot of funny, sexy, scheming things Johnny could do once he's not Possessed because he'll be "good" again.

Again, with Rafe/Ava if I thought they were truly in love and had chemistry I might buy Rafe wanting to believe the best in her or something.  But he doesn't even seem to like her.

I actually really like AZ/Nicole in jeans.  It's a good look for her.

Nicole: It’s just seems forced.

Yes Nicole, we’ve been saying that about the triangle you’re stuck in, from the very beginning lol

Rafe and Ava need to be written out

I was thinking the same thing about Johnny. He could've been into Gabi and interested in the family company without being possessed.

And not complaining, but I think it's funny that the devil has totally forgotten about Cin's baby.

I am not complaining either, but I wish there was a reason the Devil completely changed it's course of action.  Even if JoDevil just said he was laying low on the Cin baby for awhile to throw suspicion off the devil.

I am amused at the hypocrisy, lol! Satan breaks things off with Chanel and then Chanel is absolutely devastated and then to show her devastation, Chanel sleeps with Ali. Satan makes a pass at Gabi in which Ali sees which makes Ali inform Chanel of what she saw. Then, both Chanel and Ali are like:  "Johnny is such a jerk!"

I guess lesbian affairs do not equivocate to the laws of heteronormativity I suppose.

I don't think it's exactly hypocritical or devaluing lesbian affairs.  Johnny publicly and cruelly dumped Chanel.  Chanel wasn't looking to end the relationship with Johnny at all.  He told her it was done with basically no hope. I don't really even consider Chanel cheating because her marriage is over in all but name.  Allie is taking cheating on Tripp seriously.

I don't think Johnny kissing Gabi is worse than Allie/Chanel, but Johnny's behavior to Chanel and overall is awful.  Of course, this will all be messy when the devil leaves Johnny, but I don't think the show is saying straight cheating is worse than "gay" cheating.

What's gonna happen, though, when the devil is finally banished, and Johnny's soul is restored to him?  Will he even remember dumping Chanel?  Will Chanel feel compelled to reconcile with Johnny -- and deny her growing feelings for Allie in the process?  And how will Johnny take it when he learns that not only have Chanel and Allie slept together, but that they're STILL sleeping together, behind his back (because, if they aren't, then there's no damn story)?  Will Johnny return to the "dark side" -- this time without the devil's help?

It just might be the only GOOD thing to come out of this horrible mishmash of "Salem's Lot" and "The Exorcist."

    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
    • Luna parachutes herself into Llanview at the end of September 15th 1991.
    • That lengthy flashback does make me wonder if she threw out a lot, but I agree it may have been too easy an urban legend. Would these have been her very first episodes? I imagine you could feel the big difference when Bobbie arrived, alongside the Quartermaines filing in, the return of Heather, and Lesley/Rick/Monica/Alan heating up. It does remind me that there must have been some dud moments in the 60-minute format we just don't see because little of the period is available in full.  I wonder how much longer the Dantes lasted under Marland.  David Hamilton is so disgusting. I appreciate the show making him disgust as some shows when they have stories about older men or women manipulating teens aren't as honest.  I can't see this Rick being friends with him. Chris Robinson's Rick, on the other hand, I could believe.
