A black woman goes on a sleep over with about 5 or 6 white "friends".  At the end of the night, she's dead, no one knows what happened and the case is closed.

A black man from PA goes on a cabin trip with 4 co workers and he's dead on the front lawn from 9 bullets the next morning.  No investigation.

The optics with this cabin mess are alarmingly bad!

However, folks are not realizing the purpose of having Trina drugged.  It's a legit reason to remove her from the story with the other 4.  She is not important enough to be in the meaty scenes.  She is THAT irrelevant to her own future pairing and story.  Joss is supposed to be the center teen but Trina is outshining her.  Frank is rerouting viewers back to Joss by having Joss go to bat for Trina and now being taped while having sex.  There are no words to properly describe my complete disgust.   Spencer leaving with his tail between his legs after realizing someone may need to check on Trina?  Next level TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!   If I were a Sprina fan (never was), I wouldn't be after that.

Then you have Joss' first time happen the same time her friend who's not feeling well is passed out in another room where no one checks on her?  TIIC were going for Sonny/Ava screwing in a crypt type of vile with this one.

Who knows what goes on in people's personal lives?  It's probably best for both that it's not legal, although it's really odd to have an elaborate wedding for it to be for show.

You are right.   I was generally curious to hear other peoples points of views.  I wasn't trying to be disrespectful.  I thought the teens were just being dumb and didn't think about the entire view of the situation.

It’s bad. I was very curious as to why Trina completely disappeared after being *drugged* and feeling poorly, while her besties and love interest behaved as if she didn’t exist. Not even Esme checked on her to see how her nefarious plans were working, if I recall correctly. I was baffled, but saw the online outcry and felt validated. Beyond even the bad optics, it’s nonsensical.

I have never been willing to believe Nelle was intended to be Nina's definitive daughter because it made no sense to sacrifice a family tie on a dead character.

And when Willow overheard Nina/Sonny and ended randomly being the one to blow the whistle on them, I raised an eyebrow.

Consider both my eyebrows raised now.

What was the point of Trina even going on the trip if she wasn’t going to be central to the action?  I hate this.  Another promising actor and character and the show can’t make it work.

Also- in what world is this compelling television?  The chemistry is there with Cam and Esme, and Spencer and Trina.  Instead Joss is the centerpiece again.

When Stanford was there and fighting with teacher Willow it was like a giant neon light was above her head saying I am your daughter.

Ooooh how I hollered at Finn paying Peter dust. I loved Martin talking common sense to him as well.

But...dare I say it...are we going to give Liz a storyline. This ring. The arson. Talk of her Dad. Or am I just hoping?

Though I love them together and it had a nice build...I liked someone (in this case Dante) having the 'can you truly trust Valentin' talk with Anna.

I continue to love how much Felicia we are seeing. Given how she's been here and there and mostly unavailable when Maxie needed her, to see her all over the place has been awesome.

    • I'm fighting for my life on another board for my husband Brandon and I'll do it here too lmao
    • I don't expect Lois to be the same person she was 25 years ago, but she's definitely lost a lot of what made Lois unique.  It's clear the show doesn't know how to write for her, and the sole purpose of Lois is to hide this Gio secret.  It's a shame she doesn't interact with more of the canvas.  It's a waste of Rena's talents. I like Brook Kerr most of the time.  She can be hit or miss.  I totally get what you are saying about her line readings too.  I honestly think the character really suffers being stuck in the Curtis pairing.  She's much better than Tanisha Harper's Jordan lol.
    • Friday and yesterday's episode is what daytime television should be. The other shows airing could take a page from yesterday's show.  I loved the rage, hurt and anger Nicole unleashed on Ted.  Daphnee should be up for an Emmy nom for these scenes.  It broke my heart to see how Dana had locked Eva out.  I do feel sorry for Eva.    I am still bumfuzzled as to why Leslie/Dana went to the DuPree's and asked them to accept Kat UNLESS Eva is really Kat's twin (and really Nicole and Ted's daughter that maybe they though they lost or an embryo Dana/Leslie stole??) I loved how Anita and Vernon both shot her down.    Ohhh and let me just say Friday and yesterday was the MOST fire I have seen Martin have since the show started.  Maybe Brandon Clayborn is coming into his own with the role finally.
    • You've been seeing him all along. You just didn't know it was him, I guess.

    • Where to for Dana? She's pissed off the Duprees (most of the cast), alienated her daughter and will she be welcomed by the Have Nots at the diner? Maybe she can befriend Ashley and Derek and liven up their story.
    • Melissa Ordway announced she was moved to recurring back in November but is still credited with the contract cast members.
    • I think of Evan as a smarmy bast*rd. Maybe you'll like that description. You certainly have him pegged correctly since he is just a soldier following "Admiral" Iris's marching orders.
    • So far the only interest I've seen from Evan to Amanda has been listening to Iris's orders to go and seduce her.  So far he hasn't been successful... but who knows. Amanda is unbearable at times. Entitled, spoiled... idiotic. Iris... so blatantly manipulating her and Amanda takes the bait. But I guess... when she gets in trouble... she'll have a chance to learn. That's what makes these shows so interesting.    Oh, no, don't worry. You haven't ruined a thing. Evan has not been on my radar that much... he was not one of the characters I was caring particularly... so nothing much has been changed for me. I don't think he has the stuff to ruin Rachel's life. He's just a pretty guy that can follow orders. Iris on the other hand... is dangerous.

P.S Maybe Evan will surprise me. Who knows.
    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
