I mean, damn, Susan Lucci and Erica Kane OWNED All My Children like Branco thinks Laura Wright and Carly Corinthos OWN General Hospital and even Erica Kane wasn't on this [!@#$%^&*] much. It's too much for ANYONE. How about some balance?

I really detest when folks come together on social media knowing that there's an issue here and the loudmouth know it alls steamroll over them with this crap of "she owns the show" and we're all just haters apparently. Lord. We'll never see Frank go.

Ok Vee. Was just simply trying to make a point. It felt more balanced to me. Not calling Ron some amazing writer

Why are y'all letting Nellie Olson, who doesn't even like LW, work you into a tizzy?  When KDP came on this soap, he trashed LW like crazy.  Called her all kinds of names.  Twitter is doing their best to make him relevant even tho is is trolling them because he knows how they feel about LW's airtime.

I don't give one f-ck about these Sam/Dante scenes. I did laugh at how Dante was blatantly staring at her boobs. That dress was fugly!

LOL at Curtis kicking Esme out of the Savoy. He had no time for her and her fake ID. Esme is that crazy girlfriend who calls you every two seconds if you don't answer. I did laugh at how she walked into Kelly's and Mildew literally just got up and walked away without even acknowledging her existence. I love Joss/Cam/Trina ganging up on her.

Nick Chavez is really good. I really buy that Spencer is genuinely remorseful about what he's done and I have sympathy for him. Sprina got 10 seconds alone and it was really nice.

Willow can't justify what Nina did. Oh no... I don't care.

EDIT: LOL, I just realized that we're still posting in the September thread. Whatever

Yeah, it feels like Frank will never go. Of course it COULD get worse, LMAO but it's time for a change. We've had different writers, ABC 'execs' overseeing the show come and go, but Frank has been the constant since 2012.

Hell, give the job to Gary Tomlin. He's waiting in the wings LOL.

lol whoops!

I adore Chavez as Spencer.

The Facebook pearl clutchers must be glued to their TV screens along with Frank as Willow talks.

lol you're so right. I shouldn't have given that man space in my head.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, ANNA...SHOOT HIM!!!!

But seriously...the whiplash I am getting from there being momentum to it being a struggle to watch and back to momentum is crazy.

I do say YAAASSS to Trina's figuring out (love the montage to it) that Esme and Spencer are Ava's stalkers. I have always liked her friendship with Ava. And it's good to see her going the distance. After fumbling the wedding and Nixon Fall storyline, the writers seem to be picking up the stalker storyline with the quickness to keep some momentum going.

Mmmmm Britt and Jason still got it.

While I don't like how they climaxed the Sonny/Mike storyline, I do like the ripple effect that it is doing. And as people find out about Sonny being alive, people are finding out about the other storylines going on.

With Nina being persona non grata, she can go Annie now. lol. js.

    • You're probably right. They may have just wanted edits of certain characters. Hopefully the rest is around.
    • Of course!

I'm wondering if there were bits cut from this footage, because to me it seems that may be the case. At 11:23, Laurie tells her psychiatrist that the bar phoned and told her Mark got into a fight and needs to be picked up. It starts to fade to the next scene, you hear some different music begin and get cut off between the static, and where you'd expect to see the aftermath of the fight, we cut back to a later scene of Laurie in bed worrying about what's happening. The credits at the end also show that more than Mark, Laurie and Dr. Northcote should have been in this episode. Another character, Brody, played by Ed Setrakian, is mentioned but not shown. If this is the case, perhaps the original fan who saved this episode has the additional scenes.
    • Anyway… It’s a shame that the video that depicted Leticia’s death was removed from YT.

I've never seen a trainwreck like this in my entire life. 5 pencils and 3 dolls?!!!!!!!!!!! (this little moment starts close to the 7th minute) WOW. THIS IS HAPPENING IN AMERICA?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Ms. Phelps holds a BFA in directing from Carnegie Mellon University, awarded in 1972. At a time when women were underrepresented in directing programs, she was one of the few women in her graduating class. To suggest that she possessed no further talents than completely changing the style of music used on soaps seems like a vast underestimate when one reads her online biography through an objective lens. I guess that I should be more clever than to constantly blame misogyny for these misguided interpretations of her management style.  But, I'll never comprehend why fans unquestionably align their opinions even years after fact. Post-modernism, and the ability to reinterpret context through the study of history, seems to elude this conversation.

    • This is 100% correct.  It was even on the nightly news where the US Government would not let the cast and crew travel to Egypt because it was deemed not safe.  The Achille Lauro hijacking took place on October 7, 1985, when the Italian ocean liner MS Achille Lauro was hijacked by four men representing the Palestine Liberation Front off the coast of Egypt, as she was sailing from Alexandria to Ashdod, Israel. The location shoot was probably scheduled to be filmed in mid-October to air throughout November with a two week tape to air date.  Remember on the show they did some in studio scenes doubling for Egypt before shifting the action to Arizona.  It was an awkward end to a truly bizarre storyline.

New episode from late 1973 or early 1974!
    • Coronation Street had a very good story where one of the characters befriended a man who she later learned had been involved in her husband's death - when told right it can be very powerful (not like AMC trying to make it a romance). ATWT almost had a big fire in mid-1994, so this seemed to be a "thing" with P&G at the time. I guess it fits the disaster backstage atmosphere.
