lol same, I find Gladys to be the best thing about Blando and Sasha. I do like Sofia Mattsson but she's sadly expendable from the cast. Too bad she wasn't tied to Mac or Martin or somebody. Why couldn't Mac have a daughter he never knew about? (hi, Ryan) I know not everybody needs or should be tied to each other but at the same time ... I mean, they don't even play up her connection with Lucy, which would help immensely. Yet we see every tear Willow cries.

"Petaah.." I lol'ed at the way that Sonny/"Mike was mocking Peter and the way he's talking/acting. Peter really is doing too much, the way he keeps taking is ewhh.... He acts like Nina's secret about Sonny/Mike is worse than all of the stuff he's done. She should call his bluff regarding exposing her. If he does that, he could expose himself and he'd could have worse consequences for his actions than she would for hers.

Also, I enjoyed the scenes between Spencer/Alexis. NC/Spencer continues to have good chemistry with different people on the show. I'm glad that his visit with Alexis was a genuine one. He didn't have any ulterior motives to visit her & I saw a warmth between them. Esme on the other hand continues to definitely be up to no good. Even Harmony and Ryan can also see that. Harmony warned Alexis about her, I wonder when we might see Alexis mention that to Spencer. I do think that Esme could be connected/related to Ryan somehow. Though, I'm not sure if Ryan knew beforehand or any connection/relation that he might have to her.

Also, regarding Jason/Carly, I think that the show has been trying to make it seem like this marriage could turn into the real deal. A big problem with that though, is that they don't have any romantic chemistry, so it's harder to sell that. But Carly has been acting like she's wanted more in this relationship, people have been cheering them on including Joss and today Jason almost kissed her. It looks like they may try and say he has feelings for her now. But they really don't have chemistry and a potential romance between them would feel flat.

That's why these scenes were so weird to me. Throughout this story it's been Carly wanting more, while Jason perpetually looks like he's in tears and is thinking about Britt. There has been ZERO indication that there are any sort of feelings on Jason's end. Him trying to kiss her today was a major WTF moment. It came out of absolutely nowhere. It would've made more sense to have Carly make the first move. That almost kiss was hella awkward because there's really no chemistry there and it's just weird. It's like watching siblings kiss.

I think they may be having Jason act like he has feelings for Carly now because Sonny may be getting ready to get his memories back/return to PC. I think they want something up the stakes/cause more drama when he returns. And Jason all of a sudden acting like he has feelings for Carly could do that. It could make Sonny even more upset about the way that Carly chose to move on after she thought he died. I do think it doesn't really work, though, largely because IMO Jason/LW's version of Carly don't have romantic chemistry. And IMO Sonny does have nice chemistry with Nina and I think he should be with her instead.

I think they would have been better off having Carly trying to mostly run things on her own, with support from Jason. But not them feeling they have to get married & then trying to sell a flat romance with them. Heck, they could have also done better with her and Jax. Maybe her and Jax could have gotten a bit closer while she was grieving for Sonny, but still clashed a bit because she was trying to take on a lot while running the business and he felt that increase in control was a still a threat to Joss's safety. They get closer to each other while Nina/Sonny also get closer and fall in love.

And then they could all deal with that once Sonny regains his memories and returns to town. Or they could have just had her running the business with help from Jason and had her possibly reconnect with Shawn who she's always had good chemistry with. I think that Jason/Carly doesn't work as a romance and it kind of feels like they threw them together because they were unsure of what to do with Carly. (I think that Jason does have chemistry with Britt and they could have done more with them).

If they want people to buy that Jason suddenly is attracted to Carly, someone needs to mention it to SB. He continues to look totally uninterested in her.

Friday was the first time I found Esme interesting on her own. The actress is growing on me, and her scenes with Ryan were very good. Also loved Spencer and Alexis. I’m not completely sure where this storyline is going but it’ll be fun to watch. Surprising because Cam and Joss are a big snore but the other teens are great.

Not buying the Carly/Jason feelings either. What would have made their almost kiss make sense was if they had Jason see Britt's face right before he was about to lean in to kiss Carly. Or even Sam's face.

I would love for the show to finally address their relationship.  I want a frank, real conversation where Jason admits her loyalty and friendship is important to him and is the most constant relationship of his life.  But the bond was because of Michael, and keeping him away from AJ, and they both have acknowledged they made mistakes that cost everyone.  But that is it- they will never be more than that.  No matter how much or how long Carly has wanted it.  Use the history.  Talk about his betrayal at almost dying doing Sonny’s work while the two of them were in bed.  Talk about her involving herself in his relationships with Robin, Liz, Sam and now Britt.

It could lead to tremendous growth and change for Carly, and allow Jason to have a relationship that Carly is not involved in.  I don’t want them to be enemies, or not friends.  I think it is just time to address what has played out onscreen since Sarah was in the role.

All that press with CM returning to daytime just got flushed down the toilet.

In the words of the Godfather: "Never let anyone outside the family know what you're thinking!"

Given the fact that the majority of posters here do not use their actual photos for our profile pics, maybe we shouldnt be judgmental of how Actors/Actresses look. Just sayin

And Nicholas  Chavez  looks like he could be related to Marcus

Carly's part of that scene was perfect.  The thing she's wanted more than anything, more than Jax and/or Sonny, is right there and it terrified her.  The "thanks for the beer" was played very well.

The fail?  How in the sam hell did Jason get here?  He's always had Carly's back but also treated her like a mild irritant.  Jason got with Britt way too quickly but there's really no story there.  That was time needed to properly build Jarly in anticipation of Sonny's return.  Jason needed so much work before we get to 3 women in a year, especially getting with Carly!  The time squandered with Britt was a huge cost.

While I'm super happy this is the route the writers have taken because it yields the most drama and mileage, the beats missed hugely overshadow the story.

Sonny returning after Nina is not 1/1,000 the fireworks of Sonny returning only to find Carly coming down the stairs in Jason's shirt right into Sonny and  shirtless Jason.  Full circle!

You may be able to get away with skipping beats in other stories but with Mr. Roboto, if you miss just one, the bottom falls out of the story very quickly.  The huge leap with Jason is a big problem!

    • I did not care, just clarifying that was the discussion point. If there are ice cream bars in Statesville I am sure there is a full spa
    • Seeing Peter Bergman (Jack) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) act opposite each other really makes me mad that their short-lived reunion in 2012 was just that... short-lived. I've always loved the Jack/Nikki pairing.
    • No.  I recall there was also a mention about how distracting it was EOB's Gwen wasn't wearing nail polish as well.  That it was someone's pet peeve. And, yes, the fact characters can have a manicure in prison is the wildest continuity issue here.
    • Can anyone remember Mary Ellen Stuart's run as Jenny? I'm trying to fill in the cracks for missing stuff that we overlooked.  Bulletpoints:  * Dated Ross * Rusty's police partner * Directly responsible for Dinah coming forward about George Stewart (Cam's father)
    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton twirling his invisible moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?
