Monday’s episode was very watchable. I wish they’d given us some more flirtation between Jill and Jack though. Their scenes felt a little too sweet and didn’t have the underlying tension they typically have.

The absolutely star was Tricia Cast. She slips into character so easily and Nina has such a youthfulness and she’s screaming for story. Tricia Cast can make anything work, so seeing her have such a strong handle on her character makes me want more. The fact that she never worked with Justin and made it feel soooo real! Speaking of, I’d definitely accept him as a recast. Ideally I’d do Mark Lawson and Emme Rylan, but just replacing Donny would help so much.

The big downfall for me in this episode was Melissa Ordway. I don’t care what anybody says, she is a disgrace. She can’t act AT ALL and seeing the episode centered around her was cringeworthy. I don’t understand how she has lasted in the role so long with this quality of work and lack of chemistry with any leading man OR family member. The only exception is Eileen Davidson. She is truly a disgrace.

I'm caught up! I never get to participate in these threads.

I was pleasantly surprised they mentioned Ronan at all.

The dialogue about how they are all part of important families is so bad. No one talks like that. When Jill was talking to the picture I thought she might want to head to the backyard and say hello to Phillip as well, after all he's the grandfather of the groom.

But seriously...agree. The only good thing about that story from that time was that 1)it destroyed Phick and 2)the smackdown Nina gave Phyllis.

I hope Round 2 comes this time around.

Can we keep Gaston but lose the Drawl?  Chance didn't grow up in Nashville---that's Scott Reeves (ex-Ryan) that lives there.  Chance didn't sound like this when Driscoll was in the role.   Forgetting everything about Boaz's performance would just be wonderful--thanks

Jill and Nina mixing it up with Jack, Traci, Ashley, Victor, Nikki, Esther, Devon---and flashbacks!  All in all a decent episode minus Snaggletooth and her frat boy brother and of course, Staph infuction.  All thre didn't need to be on pre-wedding.  They could easily have arrived later. (Tomorrow's episode)  Victoria with Traci and Ash talking about Brad--- just why?  And who exactly has been clamoring for Nick and Phallus?

Wow!   they bothered to remember that Abby was with Tyler.  That actually surprised me.   Abby's Maid of honor should have been Lola, though.  She and Mariah are only recently civil...just saying

Nice break from Bummer's whining.   Why is she getting a business again?  It seems like rather than consolidating these assorted businesses, they are branching out----- Except Josh Griffith is terrible at business stories.   Terrible.

Do you all see how truly unnecessary Chelsea, Adam, Chloe, Kevin and Lola are?

Again--- please lose Boaz and Chance's unnecessary accent.   Gaston and Cast had a nice chemistry--let's just fit Boaz with a new MAGA hat and a placebo for that imaginary disease he didn't get not wearing that mask--the one that violates his wights......

Phyllis is at the top of the list to be dropped - there's nothing left for her.

Bringing back Chelsea, Chloe and Kevin for nothing of interest.

Lose those 4 and free up the canvas for some other returns or interesting new characters.

Rey and Lola might as well head out also.

And Josh Griffith...

— Justin Gaston is a good chance and worked well with Tricia Cast and Melissa Ordway. Wish they’d keep him.

— I usually love flashbacks, but the only ones that worked were Abby with her former partners. The others seemed forced. Abby’s wedding and we need to see an ancient clip of Jill and Katherine? With those flashbacks and the wasted scenes withNick and Phyllis, the episode seemed disjointed to me.

— The social distancing on Y&R is still awful. Chance and Nina didn’t even touch let alone hug? It’s too unnatural. Same with Nick and Phyllis. Why have talk about romance and sex when they can’t even stand next to each other? Meanwhile, on GH, everyone is hugging.

— Abby’s bathroom crying jag and locking herself in was a pathetic cliche. The girl is wailing about being immature??? Irony is dead. Let her have second thoughts, but avoid painting her like a stupid teenager. I think that’s the biggest problem with Abby...the writers won’t let her grow up.

— More Abby: she stayed in that locked bathroom through all that begging and prodding from Mariah and Ashley? Yeah, I get it — they wanted Chance to draw her out. They did it all, all wrong.

— It’s a minor thing, but when Jill arrived and ordered Esther around, I wanted Esther to snark back at her instead of grumbling under her breath and then acting like a damn maid.

I tuned in for Tricia Cast and it was great to see her.  But Melissa, you're dead on.  That made me change the channel - the nervous breakdown over getting married? - I wanted to slap her and didn't care.  Emme Rylan was let go from GH and I read she is just travelling around the country with family now.  Y&R should get her back.  The different Chance is definitely an improvement over the other one I saw - they should permanently recast if they're not going to ditch Melissa.  She's terrible.

For instance Chloe & Chelsea duplicate each other. It reminds me of Willow and Sasha on GH. Pick one to remain on canvas. Or at least change the others personality so they won't be so interchangeable.

And to tell you the truth I didn't miss Chloe & Kevin. They could go off to Silicon Valley with Bella and Miles tomorrow and I won't shed on tear and that's sad.

    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with Eric,a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he smashed into a mirror, dying of glass wounds. So there was a supernatural element. I wonder if the Brody character in the credits was Eric Brody?
