Ben holding a gun at Vincent for almost the entire show was so BORING. The Salem Air Field looked awful. But at least it wasn't HTS. I guess due to Covid-19 and lack of a real budget. Ciara's funeral and memorial service weren't shown. Not that i mind.  Both Allie and Tripp deserve better than this crappy rape story. Poor Elani everything is Kristen this, Kristen that.

To bring back Tripp as rape suspect or possible rapist is stupid. It a waste of a character with potential. Why can't Allie and Tripp have a romance. RC doesn't have the skills or talent to write this type of story.  I would've preferred they had a fling or one nightstand. The girl that plays Allie is green but she has raw talent. And deserves better.  Both actors deserve better. For awhile now Days hasn't let it's young characters enjoy being young adults. Everything has to be dark af for them.

I have to agree. Why couldn't they have just had a one night stand? Both actors absolutely deserve better.

Or they could have committed to a true rape story but that's not possible, especially under Ron.

I think there's a reason young actors flee DAYS like they do ...

nope

Marty and Victor Jr. spring to mind immediately

Sort of unrelated to that ...

I also want to rant ... you give a young hunky white guy a contract but then you bring on someone fans have wanted back since they left (Theo) and it's just a 'complication' and visit?

Okay, now that we got the cliffhanger that, according to the DNA test, Tripp is the father of Allie's baby, I wanted to share my crazy fan theory. I'm guessing that the real father--and the man who actually raped Allie--will be Tripp's long-lost half-brother, Ava's other son who we never knew existed. And I'm guessing that will be Charlie, and I'm guessing that he's actually working at Titan as a mole, feeding info on the company to his mother (who I'm guessing is also Phillip's co-conspirator).

I have no idea if my guesses will turn out to be right, but I'm excited to keep watching and find out!

Also, I'm living for those Jake and Gwen scenes. I feel like other soaps need to study what Days has done with those two, because THAT'S the right way to introduce new characters to the canvas.

Add that soaps in general just don't have a great track record with telling stories about somewhat sensitive issues like rape. Too often it's been used as sweeps fodder to make me believe that this time, especially under a plot'n'camp based writer like Ron, it'll be done right.

    • Corey was the first. Then Ingo 5-6 months later. And then Vince was the last gasp.
    • Funny, that's the one I loved the most!
    • And then to break the trend, Thorsten Kaye (German-British) on OLTL.
    • @ReddFoxx I adored Eva and Leslie's fashions. Bringing back the 80s, LOL.

They're different characters, for sure. Dani is a "Have" but she still has the underdog, aspirational element, and yearning, for Independence. Similar to Erica Kane. When the show gets to digging into Anita's career; I want them to reveal more unresolved issues between the two. I would find it believable for someone like Dani to have grown up with resentment and complex issues being surrounded by BRILLIANCE from every corner.
    • So yesterday I wandered off on a tangent about Elvis Presley, off the top of my head. Probably no one cares but I want to correct facts. Elvis Presley did have a twin who was stillborn. They named him Jesse Garon Presley & in a level of their emotional life he was very real to Elvis's mama & to a lesser degree to Elvis himself. I will now return you to your regularly scheduled discussing post-Ron prattle.
    • They are the absolute stars for me. I’m delighted every day that my feelings about them from the special on the show, turned out to be that and so much more. I genuinely feel episodes are better when they’re featured. This cracked me the hell up especially with Leslie listening

. This episode was so good, I will be rewatching when I get home tonight. THIS was classic soap opera.
    • I can barely remember who was the person they tested her with for the AMC revival but I *do* remember kinda liking them together (anyone remember better?  lol)  But yes, I feel the same.  It might not help that when I became a regular viewer Tad was presumed dead and she was with Craig...  I do remember that my sister's best friend had been an AMC viewer with her mom and dad and that they were very excited that Tad was returning... OK I instantly remembered that.  And now once again I'm sad about what coulda been with the reboot.
    • Well, that is weird. I do not see him but I only have him on Ignore on 2 accounts.
    • In the preview for the show back in February on Entertainment Tonight, Jeresa the costume designer was specific about each character's economic background, personality, and the character's personal fashion preferences.  Very much about the characters and not the actors. She said Eva is a thrifter, so her normal daily wardrobe would be something from a thrift store, and if BTG buys it new, they intentionally make it look used. So what you said fits about the type of thing a lower income person would buy for a fancy event.
