I will readily admit that Michael Gregory did not photograph well. Still images of him are usually not terribly flattering.
But boy, he was striking and charismatic, and sexy as hell, "in motion." I always found Chris Robinson to be bland, stiff and boring by comparison. He was no match for Gregory! I would have dragged Michael Gregory behind the barn in a heartbeat!
These days on B&B its....event x occurs, then ruminate on said event with excessively repetitive dialogue for 3 weeks, throw in a twist, and rapidly conclude the story for a week thereafter.
Soaps have grown inept at writing years long stories with an overarching plot containing complications that can fill airtime without feeling like a bore.
Actually, Jim and Anna’s wedding was not in April of 1970, but in early August of 1969. There is one entire episode of OLTL posted on YouTube that is dated 7/11/69. You can see Meredith and Tom Edwards in the library at Llanfair talking and Anna is there with Meredith. A later scene shows the first Victor Lord (Ernest Graves), trying to help Tom discover who he is. He mentions that he and Meredith are experiencing a “family crisis” , and need some distraction. Hinsey is/was actually back writing for Digest after she fell out with InTouch. But given no one reads SOD anymore she really doesn’t have an audience anymore. I read an opinion piece by her about B&B’s mannequin story last fall and it was actually a lot more low key than anything she wrote back in the 00’s. It read as more of her observations as opposed her actual opinion lol.
