B&B to air classic episodes

Now that CBS is going to air actual classic episodes it's time for a thread.

I guess May 4 is not a Stephanie Forrester week, but a best weddings week:

https://www.viacomcbspressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/releases/view?id=55077

Then, as THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL comes down the aisle, storylines will include:

On Monday, May 4, Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) desperately attempts to escape from Prince Omar (Kabir Bedi) to let Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) know that she’s alive, while Ridge and Brooke (Lang) have their epic first wedding in front of friends… and foes on the beautiful beach in Point Dume, Calif. The episode originally aired Sept. 30, 1994.

On Tuesday, May 5, Steffy (Wood) and Liam (Clifton) are wed in front of the iconic Opera House on the glorious Sydney, Australia harbor. While the ceremony progresses in front of family and friends, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) eases his sorrows over his brother’s marriage to his ex-wife with several drinks. The episode originally aired March 22, 2017.

On Wednesday, May 6, Katie (Tom), the only woman to have ever stolen Dollar Bill's (Diamont) heart, walks down the aisle to become Mrs. William Spencer, Jr., with her sisters at her side, at the San Fernando Valley home where she was raised. Legendary CBS star Patrick Duffy (“Dallas”) guest stars as Katie’s father, Stephen Logan. The episode originally aired Nov. 13, 2009.

On Thursday, May 7, Eric Forrester (McCook) and Brooke Logan (Lang) say “I Do” as Eric’s ex-wife, Stephanie (Susan Flannery), and Brooke’s true love, Ridge (Kaye), watch without objection. Eric then takes Brooke on a romantic and surprise honeymoon in a magnificent hot-air balloon in Palm Springs, Calif. The episode originally aired Jan. 8, 1991.

Wrapping up on Friday, May 8: Having overcome astounding obstacles, Hope (Kim Matula, in a role currently played by Annika Noelle) and Liam (Scott Clifton) joyously say “I Do” in front of family, friends, and the many residents of the beautiful city of Puglia, Italy. Frustrated and brokenhearted, Steffy (Wood) updates Eric (McCook) and Stephanie (Flannery) on the dramatic events transpiring in Puglia. The episode originally aired June 26, 2012.

At least they released two. I agree it should've been 20 episodes.

I really wanted the German release as it had so much more content but I didn't have dvd player that could play them. I own a blu ray player and that's where I play all my dvds from soaps to TV classic shows to movies.

I wish we'd get a YR dvd release but I'm not banking on it.

I mean Sony did release the very first episode of Y&R as a promo online for one of the anniversaries (the 40th?) and I noticed they haven't removed it.  But yeah...  I guess with B&B part of the thing is the main characters even in the first week are... more or less... recognizable to audiences.

Haha I was still hoping that at least Y&R and B&B still do some silly Zoom special episode to at least do an update or something lol. I wonder if there’s been any rewrites to either show since the suspension to address whole COVID-19 thing. They could easily write it in if they wanted to do a like time jump.

But second wave? I wonder if that’s why The CW has broken up their 2020-2021 schedule into quarters, with none of the big dramas coming back until Spring 2021.

Maybe, they probably wrote out all the love scenes and touching etc, I wonder if they will do a time jump or just say the episodes are now happening in july instead of april

I’d say time jump because it be easier and more creative. For Y&R for example they could have everyone worried about Sharon who’s become a shut in during her treatments and fearful for her health while have something classic like Nikki drinking again due to quarantine.

In B&B’s case I imagine Steffy helped save Forrester with fashionable masks or something lol while as for Sally’s story I’d say Flo is in a coma and Sally “got better” OR say Sally contracted the virus and lived while Flo can’t explain her “mysterious concussion” but since Sally had coronavirus everyone thinks that’s why Sally thought she was dying.

LOL just my thoughts.

Those are good ideas!,  OT but For YR i like JG but i don't understand why he doesn't have a co HW.

I say no time jumps. Just pick up where they left off. That way there’s no explanation needed for anything.

I can't believe this is what they chose for the next theme week. This show could not be more of a flop if they tried. Jesus.

Usher!! Be still my heart 🤤🥰

I saw the Bob Barker episode online years ago so I'm skipping that. The others I don't care to see.

On Tuesday, May 26, R&B superstar Usher guests as Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz)'s fling (and possible father of her child!) Raymond. On Thursday, May 28, Gina Rodriguez joins Forrester Creations as intern Beverly, who catches Rick's eye. Rick's ex Amber warns Beverly away from her former beau. Looks like Tuesday will be the only time I'll watch Bold next week since I wasn't watching when Usher had his stint back in the day.

I've never even heard of that sports guy. *shrugs* Interested in the Usher episode and the Betty White episode which is about as far as I'm willing to go as calling something classic.

Will next week bring us Big Brother cameos from over the years?! 😅

I’m not surprised, Brad Bell is hand picking all these and besides the good one from 1998 we won’t get anything we want to see.

we will most certainly get an all Liam week next week...

Today's "classic" episode reminded me why I was fading out of B&B around this time. Boring, cranky, miserable Nick Marone took over the show, Stephanie became inexplicably pro-Brooke, and the beginning of the Logan revival led by unfortunate recasts of Beth and Stephen.
