Well, I guess we now know what he wouldn't do for love, and that's put on a [!@#$%^&*] mask.

I hope you end up being okay and that it's not COVID. Hopefully, it's not something too serious.

I hope you end up getting access to masks and that will help keep you safe. Things are still rough regarding several co-workers in my workplace with all of the people that we've had that are out with COVID/possible COVID and one who just came back from having COVID. It turns out one of the ladies that just returned did have COVID. The other lady who went home yesterday not feeling well showed up today. She said she's feeling better but I think she sneezed a couple of times today and there is always concern especially given what has been happening lately.

I order some KN95's off of Amazon, but I think it may take a while for me to get them. I think that a lot of people are ordering them right now and they are in short supply. Today at work I started double masking with a cloth mask then a surgical mask. I read that can be more effective than just one cloth or surgical mask. I do have some more surgical masks/cloth masks. I will be doing that for the time being until I can get my KN95 masks. That's something someone can do if they have those types of masks and are dealing with a lot of high exposure at work, or elsewhere.

I don't think they are ordering them as quickly as I would like, but they did arrive thankfully.

But right now I'm not really liking the laissez-faire attitude that my higher ups are having with the mask mandate at one of my jobs right now. Moreso because there appears to be another outbreak among my coworkers right now. One of my coworkers just came back from being out for extensive surgery and she was shocked that while I do trust her I still Lysoled the heck out of our shared work area.

While the work area that I work in has lately not deal with me dealing with the general public except to filter out breaks and usually an hour before I leave, it bothers me that there are signs all over now due to the Cali mandate and there are people just flaunting their masklessness. Or worse, I saw someone who wanted to make an online reservation and one of the people sat in our lobby for fifteen minutes with his shirt over his nose and mouth WHEN HE HAD A MASK IN HIS HAND. And then still had to ask my coworker (because I told her I was not dealing with their sheer stupidity at finding every opportunity to not keep their masks on, not to mention they could have onlined while they were sitting in the lobby for that 15 minutes versus taking forever in front of the front desk) for a mask WHEN YOU HAVE A MASK RIGHT THERE IN YOUR HAND. And yes, the mask was for him. *frowns*

At least my other job is taking it more seriously. Except for some old lady who I gathered swiftly for butting in with her opinion which has nothing to do with the conversation I was having. Customer service only goes so far and I cannot stand stupid unwanted opinions...unless you want a response back, don't talk. ;) #commonsense

Even with all the noise and chaos of ever changing protocols, etc., this needs attention. The United States prison system continues to be a travesty.

As an Arkansan, not shocked.

I'm getting better, but went to urgent care this evening just to get checked out. Doctor said my symptoms did sound like covid, but since it's been 6 days I'm at the point where I'm past the worst of it

It's like a bad cold, which all along to me it seemed like the flu

Being double vaxxed and boosted helped

Good to hear. If only because I still have to start this season of SUPERMAN AND LOIS. ;) JK. Happy to hear you are doing good. :)

I’m also currently self-isolating after a positive test on Tuesday morning (had had mild symptoms since Saturday night). I’m feeling 99% better with no symptoms, bar a feeling of heat coming off my body (but temperature is normal). Still a positive lateral flow this morning, but I’m not overly fussed about that.

Thankfully also triple vaxxed here (double Janssen +  Pfizer booster).

NO!!!

But good you are doing good.

Yeah I tested positive, but I'm more than 10 days since my symptoms had originally started, so I'm feeling pretty much 100 percent better. I'm back at work too

Japan seems to have a plan that actually puts meaning behind what it means to "live with the virus". A plan that I am pretty sure many Americans would complain about and refuse to do.

Frankly, I blame the right-wing media, going way the hell back to Rush Limbaugh.  I believe they're principally responsible for the muck we're still mired in with this virus, thanks to all their decades of blather about not letting the government control people like sheep.  Never mind that they've never actually been controlled by anyone OR that the ones who ARE controlled are also the ones they never give the first [!@#$%^&*] about.

Khan, it's just too bad there is not a standing O emoji. I couldn't agree more. 👏👏👏👏👏

I clicked and read the article.

A representative for Mangassarian said the actor had initially been opposed to getting the coronavirus vaccine but ultimately did get vaccinated after it was required for film projects.

“I know about his original stance, but after I had a talk with him, his desire to work became more important to him,” Valerie McCaffery of McCaffery Talent Management told The Daily Beast.
