The writing was so on the wall for his tenure being up. No love interest. Kid killed off. They didn’t even play up his connection that they established with Shiloh. Everyone, including BM should've known that once Steve Burton became available again, BM would've been out and SB would've been back as Jason. Once that was done he just became Drew, the pointless character, for no other reason than just to keep him on the show. They brought in Kim and Oscar to try to give him some story but it ultimately went nowhere. And now he's out. I could see how this might have ruffled a few feathers behind the scenes.
