Actually Ron wouldn’t know that, he knows nothing about Days. He is learning as he writes.  Do soaps even use the term “Supercouples”? Wasn’t that an era thing?

She can’t handle the material but she does this same story over 30 something years ago.... hmmmmm.

How do you know what a CHARACTER is into?

If the writers say let’s recast Roman with Wayne and have Roman fight for Marlena, who are the actors going to do... play the freakin part.

A lot of people hate Maggie.

A lot of people hate Maggie. Where did you Maggie fans come from? You’re obviously not watching the show. Thursday was a prime example of Maggie once again stealing Marlena’s family. Suzanne overacts and blubbers her way through scenes. It’s embarrassing to watch.

An entire episode was just wasted trying to tell Maggie that her “beloved Will” is dying. Gag me. If they insist on using Maggie, use her own family and history.

Look, I’m not telling anyone not to like Maggie. I don’t care if you like the bitch or not. I personally can’t stand her and I’m not alone. The only writer who knew how to write Maggie properly was JER.

Oh, and winning an Emmy 40 years ago doesn’t mean you’re still talented in 2019. Suzanne is painful to watch. I’d rather watch an entire episode of Susan Seaforth-Hayes, and I loathe Julie.

Take a look at other boards like Daytime Royalty. Maggie is hated. I had no idea this was a Suzanne Rogers fan site.

Luckily Ron gets that Deidre Hall is the Queen of Days. Tomlin tried to replace her with Maggie but Ron fixed that pretty quickly.

Deidre Hall and Suzanne Rogers are both crap actresses. The only time Dee bothers to step it up is when Eileen Davidson is there to light a fire under her ass. Other than that, she hasn't bothered to put any consistent effort since, what, 1983?

I've found Suzanne to be as subtle as a heart attack with this recent story. Granted, I know she's supposed to be a drunk, but she's wayyyy over the top.

I know I shouldnt but what the hell

Its exactly what you are doing

You are back and forth with anyone who doesnt subscribe your maggie hate. So maybe just say we agree to disagree can you subscribe to that?

I think DH/SR can both do good work.  I think they both just tried to embrace the camp of JER's era and basically just never tried stopped.  I have to believe they are aware they aren't doing master acting. DH relies on really annoying ticks like gasping and moaning with John and Suzanne just acts for the people in the cheap seats in all her scenes.  I think DH put some effort in the 90's up until she realized the Possession was not going to win her emmys.  I can't remember really ever liking Maggie, but she never bothered me much either (aside from the Daniel/Melanie stuff)

JER was a good headwriter for Maggie because she only popped up once a month and stayed in the background with only a few lines of dialogue. That’s a tolerable amount of Maggie. And he eventually did the right thing and killed her off. Other than Jack, Victor, and Marlena, all the characters JER killed off in 2003-04 should have remained dead , especially Maggie. Tomlin’s “Maggie Renaissance” never should have happened.

    • Hahahaha!!! Not Sharon with a better wig. But...could we be seeing an actual rival for Anita.   Mmmm...hey Andre hey!    Chief Executive of Orgasm is taking me out. It is weird seeing Dani in that nightie after just watching Y&R birthday party for Nikki and thinking that was what Abby was wearing and found it a miss.    Oh, lord, Bill! Hush! Big baby!!!   OMG! Nosy Nurse....read her a$$!!
    • Yeah I’m glad Anita put a stop to that. What Anita did was wrong and it’s okay for her to admit and feel what she did was wrong. The Duprees have to be wrong at some time.
    • Come thru, Anita's backstory!!! Enjoy TT having her moment.
    • Leslie is not being a very good criminal. All this asking questions of everybody is only making her look more obvious. The problem for Hayley is that she has failed to actually connect with Bill on anything other than going to bed or him buying her things. She acts like she is still the mistress and not the wife. It's fine that Vernon supports his wife, but he was making too many excuses for her and she was right to tell him to knock it off.
    • HAHAHHAHA!!! @kalbir being right on the money...right down to the music.

Nosy Nurse!!!   OMG!!! Not Nosy Nurse vs Silk Press Sheila!!!   And it's a Sara day!!!
    • Very true - AMC was a good ensemble show in the 90s (until Kendall/Zach/Greenlee/Ryan took over in the mid-2000/2010s). Glad you liked the 1994 tornado and 2006 Mardi Gras ball too

I'll have to go watch those Mardi Gras ball scenes this weekend. I think I actually have them on VHS somewhere in some boxes haha, but I don't have a VHS player anymore.
    • As far as I know it's true that they wanted Judi all along & she wasn't available at first. And, it honestly doesn't matter to me. No preference.  But thanks for the geography lesson. It defeats me.
    • Oh my gosh, what a great memory this is. My mom and I were so sad when this happened, not believing that Maria really died and would no longer be on our screens. So shocked.  I didn't remember Jim being there with Brooke as Maria and the plane go over the cliff. Julia Barr is a gem!
    • Honestly, this shouldn't need Mona OR Shanice. You mean to tell me there aren't other cameras in the hospital that would've caught her in the parking lot or the nurses station? They would've been better off saying she flirted with security and deleted the footage because this doesn't add up in 2025.
    • I had always heard 1985 was a rough year for the show.  A shame as we hear so much about bad producers and how they ruin a show. It would have been nice to see a good producer exhibit great results. The 1990 episodes currently uploaded bring back a lot of memories. I really enjoyed the Sharlene/Sharly storyline and Holbrook was fantastic.  Another example of someone overlooked for her superlative work although the Emmy voters would later rectify that. I also got a kick out of Taylor Benson and how she tortured Sharlene. I always wanted that story to go on longer than it did.  I'm again reminded how the Amanda/Sam/Evan story just collapses when RKK left. I don't know what the writers were building to (if anything) but that storyline is a dud now. Cali Timmins was perfect as Paulina. Seeing her again makes me even madder that she was replaced with Judi Evans.
