That's a big part of the problem in episodic writing currently- a good writer does construct a story from start to finish.  Adjustment can and should be made along the way but the major points of the plot (and a timeline as to how they'll unravel) should be outlined from jump.   Not deciding on the way a story will end and instead figuring it out as you go makes for a sloppy show.

Unlike some other viewers, I have found the St. Petersburg intrigue kind of interesting, but, there are a few things that don't make sense.  More observant viewers on other sites have pointed out that Ava should have recognized Sonny's telephone number because she herself would use it if there were issues with her daughter with Sonny.  That one got by me, but my big question is, they are pumping up this character that Steve Burton is playing, most probably Jason, with a horse tranquilizer and he could withstand it like Superman?  Are we supposed to believe that it was "the power of love" that keeps the tranquilizer from taking effect?  Will this character be the one who will eat poisoned pancakes and still live to tell about it?

Someone needs to remind Ms. Walker that rule number one of defending yourself against claims of racism is NOT to say some of your best friends (or, in her case, your best friends' children) are Black.

I STAY sick to death of Steve Burton.

Another fabulous episode .  The story pacing is so bad. We pick up with stunning Finola Hughes repeating herself  talking to Dawgy Daddy for the whole episode with no plot movement whatsoever. Of course, they were last scene a week ago. I can accept every other day, but it's been a week.

They have no problem with Carly repeating over and over about not trusting Nelle--and that dayplayer with her today was awful.

Man Landers was a fill-in story to cover the time off for KS. The only redeeming qualities for this story have been the divine Jennifer Bassey, and the much needed changes in Amy. When first brought on, she was a terribly written character. She's still annoying, but I've liked the changes they made. I've seen on other boards and FFacebook the "disgust" of viewers that can't see why Nathan would bother even talking to "that fat nurse", "the porker", etc.   Shame on them, people come in sizes other than zero.   People fat shaming her should get up and look in the mirror. I'm sure most of them aren't a size zero...

I wonder if we'll actually see Bobbi's party, and how many will attend? Not expecting much there.

Yep. JFP got a lot of deserved flack because of how she treated female actresses, but some of the fans are just as bad. In part Hollywood has really trained us to expect actresses to be incredibly thin.  It's sick that so many people blindly accept and expect it though. I like some of the changes in Amy, but they've almost made her too chipper now.  Some of it is acting choices I guess.  I like the actress, but I'll be surprised if they continue to write for her.

    • I also get why Gio feels his life was a lie. I get everyone's emotions are high now That's why I think Monica passing will be the catalyst that starts to the healing process for Gio, BLQ, Lois, Tracy, Ned, Olivia and Dante
    • Judging by the fact that I was able to watch two episodes today, looks like Canada being a day ahead might be permanent.
    • Agreed! I normally don't rate Amanda Setton that highly as an actress, but she knocked those scenes out of the park. Between this and the Michael storyline, I think we're in for a week of juicy drama. I heard everyone talking about how dull Rory Gibson was on Y&R, but I thought he was pretty good today playing a steelier version of Michael. And I loved Wiley's little "Bye mommy!" moment. The writers clearly know how much most of us hate Willow if they're tossing out little nuggets of schadenfreude like that one.
    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
    • This episode is beyond excellent Could have waited on tge Trina Kai scenes  but regardless  great soap
    • Haha same! I didn't like her in the beginning, but over time, I've really grown to love to hate her as a villain.  I can't wait to listen to today's new episode later tonight! I've been waiting for the mom and dad (Crystal/Vincent) to have an interaction, so I'm happy to hear it's today.
    • I've always really been enjoying the show. It's very well produced and has so many soap stars in it. I was just listening to ep 7 on YoutTube and can say I'm hooked. There was an intense scene with Crystal Chappell and Vincent Irizarry about halfway through that was GOOD! Is it bad I kind of like Mina? I know she's supposed to be the main villian
