Ok, I thought I was going crazy - yes, I've noticed that on today's episode. What's going on? lol

The teens don't bother me as much as they aren't on much. I expect them to be green, but I hope they improve.

@LeClerc I'm so glad I'm not crazy. I swore it was dubbing. Perhaps CLB had a cold or something.

They need to recast Chucky - the actor is terrible. Reed/Mattie are definitely working for me.

MM and DG continue to light sparks for me - even in brief scenes. I'd love for Hane to hit the sheet as revenge for Jily.

I still can't believe I'm not rolling my eyes at AH since the LA reboot. Victoria is being written perfectly for this story and I think AH is enjoying it.

Amazing how fast you can drive from NO to GC - I'm hating every aspect of mini-arc. Taking Bella away from a grieving Esther. Just terrible.

I wish Esther would hire Leslie to prevent the felon/pedophile from taking her granddaughter.

Something I've noticed in how the teens are being written these days compared to say, the days of the Glow By Jabot kids- the teens today (Mattie, Reed and Charlie), all of their storylines seem dependent on what the adults are doing.

Even as the Glow By Jabot kids were tangentially connected to the adults of Genoa City (e.g. Jack and some Jabot staff), the teens mostly inhabited their own world. Even in the Glow By Jabot house, the teens mainly only interacted with each other and their storylines were pretty self-contained within their own young adult milieu.

In fact, a few of the teens' parents were not even seen until later on down the road. (did we ever see Sierra's parents?)

Back then, except for Billy, none of the other Glow Kids had much of a connection to Jabot, they all saw it as fun summer jobs.

Whereas now, everyone's parent works for Brash and Sassy.  These kids don't have much of a storyline that is independent of their parents- their stories, in fact, are totally intertwined.

So until these writers create storylines for the teens that can stand on their own, independently of the adults that surround them, people will probably see the teens as dull and uninteresting.

I can't even tell if the actor who plays Charlie is bad or not, since he doesn't have sh*t to do!

As for CLB, I thought he had a sinus infection. He sounded completely congested to me.

Oh gawd. I hated Lily with Cane. He's already ruined one young black woman's promise. Why must Hilary also be sacrificed?! Issa he!l no for me!

@deedee Charlie's entire purpose is to prop Reed. Hate it. The twins have been soras'd for months and they've yet to share scenes with Neil or Devon. What does that tell you? Reed surely had made his rounds through the Newmans by then.

The back and forth banter between Charlie and Reed is awful and unrealistic, so I blame that as much as anything. Teenagers don't talk that way to each other, especially if they don't like each other.

The girl playing Mattie is better with her glasses on. Yeah, I really mean that. The worst acting she's done has been at the rooftop pool with her glasses off.

    • Ugh. I genuinely hope not; I pray, somehow, CHCH-DT is told to provide a one-day pause. The last thing we need is a Y&R situation with this soap. I'm pretty sure Samantha is the older twin.
    • As usual, Jane Elliot stole the show. GM was good as Gio as were Rena, Dominic, and Amanda.   I also thought the actress that plays Emma was low key, but perfect at the same time-just listening and reacting.
    • I'm surprised it took me this long to get into RH. The soap is so damn good, I am just as obsessed with the Ryan's as Delia. The Ryans are a great family unit and seem like good people. I wish I had a family like that. This show has so many parallels to BTG. Frank's mystery is very similar to Martin's. Both are my favorites on each show. adding more thoughts soon once I get a consistent watch going.
    • I also get why Gio feels his life was a lie. I get everyone's emotions are high now That's why I think Monica passing will be the catalyst that starts to the healing process for Gio, BLQ, Lois, Tracy, Ned, Olivia and Dante
    • Judging by the fact that I was able to watch two episodes today, looks like Canada being a day ahead might be permanent.
    • Agreed! I normally don't rate Amanda Setton that highly as an actress, but she knocked those scenes out of the park. Between this and the Michael storyline, I think we're in for a week of juicy drama. I heard everyone talking about how dull Rory Gibson was on Y&R, but I thought he was pretty good today playing a steelier version of Michael. And I loved Wiley's little "Bye mommy!" moment. The writers clearly know how much most of us hate Willow if they're tossing out little nuggets of schadenfreude like that one.
    • Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.  Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy... Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister. I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.
    • They've been on same day for three episodes, which is a good thing because the days flowed weird to me before.
    • I see both Lois and BLQs sides re Gio BLQ wanted her son to be happy. Lois wanted to make sure it happened, so she gave him to family. Selfish?  Yes, but I get it Gio was raised by a loving mother and extended family. Lois followed BLQ wishes Great acting by AS & RS

date: Tuesday, May 27 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Steven Williford I feel bad for Chelsea; she's exploring her feelings, and they're getting [unintentionally] hurt. But I love the support that Katherine has for her cousin. Bradley, you deserve one hundred times better than Deadbeat. So much more. Anita essentially tossing Tracy out... whew. She's done. DONE. Ouch... Chelsea hit the nerve with Katherine. How interesting... I feel like Tracy is becoming the mirror Anita has been avoiding while being a Dupree. What are these top secret things she's harbouring? I really hope Jessica's interest in Tyrell is genuine, because if it isn't, it might just destroy him. Back alley meetings? Your family? As if Bradley is not part of your family... Deadbeat, sit your ass down. Hey, Childbride, lower your damn voice. You're in the country club, not the country field where your ass belongs. And oh God, she's knocked up. Whew... here we go! Dante Greene, what control did this man have? But I appreciate that Anita and Tracy are uniting together; I pray that Sharon joins them soon. I love how easy Katherine and Tomas are with each other; it's smooth, it's natural and it's blooming in all the right ways. Hayley is about to battle the Dupree women for all she's worth. I am calling it right now. The unwavering support Vernon continues to provide to Anita is paramount; I adore them as the couple they are. Notes: Mike Manning (Bradley) continues to show up time and time again in scenes with Brandon Claybon (Deadbeat), who brings nothing to the table. There is an extreme lack of romantic chemistry between them. I'm wondering how different Dante Greene is going to be in comparison to Berry Gordy Jnr; we know the true history of Diana Ross and the Supremes, but how different will it be with Anita Williams and the Articulettes?
