I actually though HHK was good her first year on the show and really thought she was a great find. And then it went sooooo downhill. Now I cannot really stand her. And it doesn't help that her character is a whiny sniveling snot.

HK has been recurring since September. Her three times a month and 6 minutes a week on Life in Pieces is obviously a lot for her...

I have to say I really enjoyed Lauren and Jill today......They actually made it seem like Jill was just an annoying interference to Lauren and not an older sister....

I don't know why anyone got up in arms over Adam and Rafe. Adam was a manipulator and that showed what he would do. I dunno, it never bothered me much. I saw it for what it was. I know some fantasized he was but I didn't expect them to ever make him so. It's no different than a man seducing a woman to get what he wants. Sure it probably sends the wrong message at the end of the day but eh ... Muhney's Adam was far more deplorable and it didn't help the actor was a skeeze and always looked slimy. I got up in arms because it was pushed and pushed by the soap "press" and by Muhney as something shocking and daring, and look out world, and how there would be all this hot stuff that Engen refused to play, when it was basically just stilted scenes with Rafe looking like a complete moron. No kissing, no intimacy unless you count putting his dirty thumb on Rafe's lower lip. Nothing. And this was touted by MAB and her shills as progressive and daring. Ha-ha scenes like Nick joking that Adam was a drag queen were supposed to be progressive and daring. 

 

It was just a tacky variation on how bisexuality and homosexuality = depraved perversion of psychopaths, pushed and pushed as some kind of incredible brave new storytelling.

Cause they insisted on making Sumner a heroine. HHK plays a better mean girl. 

The Lauren/Jill scenes were great. The one thing I'm still missing are darker scenes. Sadly, I think Mal Young won't go back to how Y&R used to look years ago. There was a certain feel Y&R used to have- with the background music and the general darker feel of the show. The darkness would also add to the elegant feeling the show used to have. It looks a bit like a cheap imitation at times. Still, I won't complain much as long as the writing is on point.

It's used pretty regularly, especially in pub scenes. They have started doing American-style montages in the last 5-10 years as well. But it's cheaper over there, I believe (the rights).

And I didn't care for how Adam was written treat Rafe and Heather afterwards. Like they were wrong fur being upset with him cheating and using.

Honestly, she's not even particularly good at that.  I've wanted to support her because of what happened with MM, but at this point, she's not getting any better. That role needs someone with presence and she just doesn't have it, imo.

This!  I feel the same about the actress who plays Abby. I just can't get into Abby. She should be a key character since her mom is Ashley.

OK, she can play mean teen half way decently, but she's not transitioning well into adult Summer.  I'm sure she'd do well playing the mean girl on some CW show.
