I get Paul's guilt, but It's been well over a year, and shunning Sonny is just going to drag this story forever.

The Legion of Doom was blowing up Salem. It would've been at least more effective if they showed the explosions. But Days doesn't have the budget for that. Dario and Eduardo's scenes were boring as hell. I'm surprised Blanca is still around. The teens were so annoying and meh. I did like Paulson's scenes. Everytime Paul is used his unconscious. Joey has more chemistry with Sonny & Paul than with Jade. Everyone in town is at the tiny nurses station at University Hospital. Haven't seen so many extra's at the hospital in years. A slightly exciting episode that was also stilted and flat.

this show is just horrible. The Monster Mash basically has taken over Salem with bad acting and horrible writing. the young set is HORRIBLE. Drake is back to his Dirty Harry/Smell the fart acting style, and the dialogue seems to be so over the top and dramatic that there is no nuance to it at all.

I realize that today's episode probably seemed like high drama on the page but it is falling flat for me. It isn't exactly "riveting". These people don't seem overly terrified for what they are supposed to be going through. I don't buy that they feel like their lives are on the line.

 

I agree that I find Drake's acting "style" annoying. I do like the fact that Marlena, Hope, Jennifer,  Patch and Kayla are on but it still isn't enough for me. The pace of this is just so damn slow. They should take a page from Scandal with the pacing of dialogue and bouncing from scene to scene.

True. A lot of people contribute a lot but I got the feeling DAYS gives next to nothing to discuss.

Even if DAYS was in decent shape I doubt it would matter. Most people just don't post here anymore. 

DAYS needs a Shelly Altman who would bring romance and umbrella storytelling. One day Shelly will be head writing her own soap.she has a wealth of ideas and knowledge.

The show's pacing is as such that it isn't easy to discuss. It isn't that there is a lot of recapping, but the forward movement is so slow.

Pretty much sums up how I feel. I'm watching everyday but nothing's all that compelling like it should be. It's more watchable in a sense, and I like the cast interaction, but it's just ... flat, when it shouldn't be.
