GH: July 2016 Discussion Thread

GH don't have years and all this did was "tie" HayKunt to the canvas. Not one story will come from this, just justifies Budig being onscreen.

Do we really care that 2 forty year olds are sisters and don't like each other?

Hopefully Jeff Webber returns for this story. I'd love Richard Dean Anderson but I'm good for a recast as well.

At least we now have another Hardy/Webber. Tying Greenlee I mean Hayden to the canvas like this can provide years of story. I don't mind Hayden as much as others do. She's a more interesting character than most of the newbies since 2012....

I like her too. The relationship with Liz doesn't matter to me either way, but people have been wanting Liz to have some family on screen for ages. Well, here ya go, Liz has some family.

how is Greenlee tied to the canvas? How is she Liz' sister? They should have just made RB Sarah

With all the crap characters we have to sit through (Wednesday's episode a super prime example...talk about filler episode).   Naomi's psychedelic dizzy spell at the name of Heather....yikes...

Dear Joe, Jose, Carlos in disguise...whoever you are...go back

Apparently Liz and Greens/Hayden share a Daddy... Jeff Webber appears to be her father , too

Didn't RDA criticize this show back in the day for bad writing. Its 10 times worse now so I cant imagine him returning

They have tried dozens of times to get RDA back. He is never coming back.

I'd say recast, but Valentini is probably trying to figure out if Michael Easton looks old enough to play the role...

The Cassadine Island tale is just plain awful in every respect.  Wouldn't have worked with Tyler in the role either.  Maybe that's why he quit.  He couldn't play more cartoon crap.  Kristina's plot would be so much more compelling if they hadn't gone with the icky older professor angle. Stupid move.  And they've set up her relationship with Aaron as storybook so they're pitting this practically pedophile Ivanka Trump like teacher against the new Blacky, muscled stud with a heart.  Terrible.  The Scott/Lucy/Hayden's mom stuff was horrendously bad.  In fact this week was Jelly's worst since they started penning the stories.  I'm wondering if these episodes were crafted after a meeting with ABC where they said: you have 13 weeks to raise the ratings or you're out. LOL.  So many of this summer's episodes feel desperate for cheap thrills after some moments (yes boring) where they seemed to be going more for a Knots Landing feel than a Dynasty/Passions feel.  They're back to Carlivati's cartoon....With O'Conner back on writing staff. I'm wondering if Carlivati is a story consultant.

Genie Francis yesterday was WOW. Omg this show is firing on all cylinders. Jean and Shelly are killing it with their brand of TV. Its simply remarkable and divine. Just downright amazing stuff.
