This show...SMDH, how are you going to have an episode end with a plane, full of lead characters, making an emergency landing and not follow up in the next episode? This hospital serial killer story is so boring, as is the Claudette/Nathan/Maxie thing, and I want to poke out Griffin's eyeballs.

maybe they all died. I have no idea who was on it but I hope they did

Laura, Kevin, Lulu, Sam, and Ava were passengers with Dante and Jason piloting the doomed aircraft.  Maybe we'll see them again at the end of August.

LOL I had to laugh that the plane idiots weren't on after being the cliffhanger. Such a mess!

LMAO Cheap! I'm right there with you.

I see the tokens got their time as Jordan/TJ/Shawn continues to play out OFF-SCREEN. And then we get to hear about it. Just so stupid. Why bother then?

So the pier/coffee kiosk thing that never has any dayplayers but some random Frank twink in the background (I'm shocked he hasn't found a way to make it a shirtless coffee bar) has basically replaced Kelly's? Come to think of it we haven't seen it in a while, have we? LAAAAAAZY

I wish they'd fix the lighting. Soaps need better lighting to look less cheap. They all look so awful.

And I'm so tired of them pushing Franco. So. Tired. Of. It. I'm sick of the goofy grins. I'm sick of the smart woman they put him with then defend him and insist he's changed. Eventually they'll be made a fool of (Carly) and then they're moved on. Liz will forever be in a holding pattern in terms of romance. She just bounces from one "loser" (AJ, Ric, Franco) to another who makes a fool out of her. Any pairing she has that gets any bit of momentum they kill.

On the bright side at least putting Valerie, Amy and Franco together I could mute them at the same time. Why are they determined to make that Amy girl so unlikable?

I actually do like Griffin and the actor who plays him is very nice to look at and seems to be a decent actor, but they're wasting him. They should be doing Liz/Griffin not Franco/Liz.

And honestly, if the stigma of Franco wasn't attached I wouldn't bitch as much about Howarth's character and who they pair him with. He and Herbst have a bit of chemistry (as did he and Laura Wright) but I'll never buy the "he's changed" and will never buy the character in any pairing.

Sam is the only one I care for, but shes not enough to make me care for the rest. Kill em all!

    • Unlike you I am a very big fan of Tolkien, not just The Lord of the Rings, which is only a part of his creation. I had issues already with Peter Jackson's films, both LOTR and The Hobbit. They looked beautiful (for the most part) and had moments of greatness, but they also took liberties with Tolkien's stories. This new show will also, from what I've seen, have some beautiful sets and scenery, but they have twisted and altered Tolkien's stories and characters almost beyond recognition. I realize that you must expect some alterations when it comes to adapting stories for a visual medium, but this goes way beyond mere alterations. I have also seen what you've seen, and I can't say I'm entirely comfortable sharing opinions with some of them, since I'm usually on the absolute opposite side, but it is what it is. The showrunners, and even the actors, have shown very little respect for Tolkien and his work, that has been very clear in every interview I've seen or read.  When you have the executive producer (Lindsey Weber) stating: “It felt only natural to us that an adaptation of Tolkien’s work would reflect what the world actually looks like,”  then alarm bells went ringing. Why should that be natural? Tolkien's world is a fantasy world in a long-distant mythological past. Why would it have to reflect today's world? So that they can cram in today's political views is the obvious answer. But this was something that Tolkien himself was vehemently opposed to. I think it is highly disrespectful to go against an author's wishes, when they are so well-known, I don't care if the author in question has been dead almost 50 years. He wrote these characters the way they are because that's how he wanted them, and as I quoted in my previous post:  "I do earnestly hope that in the assignment of actual speeches to the characters they will be represented as I have presented them: in style and sentiment. I should resent perversion of the characters" (J.R.R. Tolkien) And, no I'm not just talking about skin colour now. I'm talking about turning Galadriel into Xena, Warrior Princess for instance, when this is not how Tolkien described her. Tolkien was from another era, and his stories are set in a very, very, very distant past. To alter his works, which he spent more than 50 years writing and perfecting, to please our modern sensitivities is not ok. Call me old-fashioned if you will, or maybe even other things. The showrunners and actors themselves have already started doing just that. I would have loved it if this show had been good and done justice to Tolkien's world. But it won't. And if they had done this show without attaching it to Tolkien in any way I would probably have felt differently about it than I do. But they haven't. They have done exactly what Tolkien absolutely didn't want. They have taken his stories, his characters, and his world and changed it into something else, something that is his in name only. Other people may have other reasons for critizing this show, that's up to them. But this is why I can't, and won't support this in any way. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I first heard Amazon was gonna do this, but not anymore. I can honestly say that I have heard or read nothing, absolutely nothing about this show that I feel even remotely positive about.
    • Adieu, grinning prince.
    • Tune in for 5 minutes and - why are women fighting over Ridge and why are their kids constantly up their butts, and parents butts welcome the kids being up them and they return the favor by being up their kids butts…? I can see you t hasn’t changed. That’s pretty much it.
    • Well, her primetime opportunities dried up aside from occasional guest spots. Before B&B, I think her last major recurring role was on 24, way back in 2007? I suspect that was why she came back to daytime in the first place.
