I have a love/hate relationship with him. He was a fave till he dumped Skye for Brenda. He never quite got redeemed after that. I could have liked him again but he spent so many years up Carly's ass. It'll be interesting to see where he fits into today's GH

so he's returning to follow up Jos' kidney story. Was he even involved when it happened and if not what was the shows excuse?

While not a big fan of the character, who spent most of his time fighting to be with Sonny's leftovers, I'll always like Ingo for speaking up years ago against Steve Burton using GH to promote some "miracle juice" pyramid scheme. I'm interested to see how much he'll actually be on considering the show already has more characters than it knows what to do with now.

He was involved.  Refused to use the black market but put money into finding a kidney.  Carly learned that Jake died so she went to Jason.

CarJax is my OTP, but I don't want Ingo back.  Jax will be destroyed!!!!! And I have a feeling, they will push him in NinUGH's direction to try, once again, to salvage this worthless character.

A check is a check, but Ingo was dissed by FrankenRon.  Jill brought him back, but when she was canned, Ingo was called up and told he would not be returning beyond the little stint where he was hiding behind walls.  He told LW on Twitter.

Damn it.  I haven't watched GH in three weeks. I decided to stop DVRing and watch on Hulu since I have it commercial free. That led to the habit just falling away and I haven't missed it much. I've always liked Ingo though. He was the best match for LW, imo. Any woman choosing Sonny over him has always been laughable to me. I guess I'll end up coming back to watch Jax one last time before this show gets canned.

I had no idea IR had been on "Hawaii Five-NO!!!" recently.  In fact, I had no idea he was still in the biz.

Yeah, Jax and Nina is something I wouldn't want to see even briefly.  Are we sure he's not back for Lucas or (help me, Lord) Julian?

http://abc.soapsindepth.com/posts/ingo-rademacher-reveals-why-he-s-returning-to-general-hospital-104768/photos/gh-ingo-rademacher-jax-07-161970

Although the actor lives in Hawaii with his family, he finds himself in Los Angeles a couple times a year, so he has let GH executive producer Frank Valentini know he’s always available to return if the schedules can be worked out. And this time they were able to squeeze him in for a run that begins on Friday, July 29!

“I was supposed to come back in April,” Rademacher reveals to Soaps In Depth, “but an issue came up with the storyline, so it didn’t come together.”

However, he admits he’s not sure exactly what’s up with the upcoming storyline Jax will be involved in, declaring, “Nobody’s told me anything! I don’t even know what I’m doing.”

The main draw for Rademacher is that feeling of going home again. “I know GH, and I don’t have to stress out about it. I also love my character. Jax is the white knight and the good guy.”

He also appreciates that the fans have never forgotten about him. “It’s nice that they want me to come back,” Rademacher smiles. “It’s been a great reaction. I stay in touch with fans.”

While this current stint is only slated to last for about a month, Rademacher confides, “I don’t know if it will extend further.” His fans can only hope!

    • Thanks again @Paul Raven  It shows you just what a unique and memorable performance Denise Alexander was that I can see her in these moments and hear her even though I've never watched any of the material. Meanwhile, the Diana material continues to seem like one plate of ass after another...I was thinking she had finally been able to move on with the therapy breakthrough, but then we're right back with her believing Peter and Leslie are having an affair. I don't know how much further off the material is that made Valerie Starrett leave, but I can't blame her.  I see less and less of Jessie anywhere in this - is this when Emily's health troubles were starting to phase her out of story? Going a few summaries back, writing out Lee, Caroline, her son and his wife seems so rushed. It's a shame Marland, or whoever, killed off all of them (aside from Lee), as they might have given Lee some story down the line. Or maybe the daughter-in-law survived too - I can't remember.
    • Thanks!  I compiled the list and posted it for the 59th anniversary in November, but just made the updates now for the couple of new cast members we've had since then! Didn't realize until I did the update that Peyton is the first-ever contract actor born in Nevada, so that's another state off the 0 list!
    • What I love about this story is that I can empathize with both Lulu's point of view AND Lois's point of view. I can understand why Lulu thinks it's important for the truth to come out and why she feels a moral obligation to let Dante know he has a son. But these good intentions have gotten all mixed up with her hatred for BLQ, and so she's going about it like a self-righteous bully who hasn't thought through all the consequences of this reveal. And I can understand Lois's thought process keeping this secret. She couldn't bear to give her grandson away to strangers, and so she arranged an adoption that kept him in the family. From her perspective, it's worked out beautifully because as Gio grew up as a "Palmieri cousin", he got to know his father Dante, his mother Brook Lynn, and his grandfather Sonny. She just had the hubris to believe that she could play God and keep the secret forever.  Maybe it's just getting to see Cynthia Watros and Laura Wright in full-on catfight mode a few days ago, but the show is starting to remind me of Guiding Light in its heyday, where most of the drama comes from the interactions of long-running characters who are likeable in some ways but have enough fatal flaws that they create their own problems. That's a sharp contrast for the way GH has generally been written since the JFP era, where most of the drama comes from external threats: supervillians, Sweeps month disasters, the mob shootout of the week.
    • Wow, @JAS0N47, that list of states was impressive! And I never knew that James Read hailed from near me! (I was born and raised in a nearby city, about 15 minutes away!) (Liked him since he played Murphy Michaels on Remington Steele when I was a kid. As an older kid, I also loved him on North and South!)
    • Oh, I remember this vividly! So trippy to see Mike Brady as a devil-worshiping judge. LOL! (With the mustache and curly hair in some pics, Reed seemed to have a surface resemblance to early-Jeopardy Alex Trebek!)
    • This makes Karen, now this & a guy on Facebook named Brent Costel. Sony is really deleting so many files.
    • Tracy is going to be excited but only if she is no longer under arrest. Where is Marty when he is needed?! But, in case he is truly out of pocket, then where the dickens is Scott Baldwin? Scotty, Tracy needs you. And you know how she is.
    • I’m so excited to see Tracy’s reaction when she finds out Gio is the great grandson she was wanting Jason to find.
    • I think Lulu has had a point. Gio is Rocco's half-brother. Rocco is Lulu's son. And, she is still in love with Dante. She tried to get Brook Lynn to be forthcoming. Then she gave Lois the same chance. It was an accident that the two women were screaming at each other enough so that Gio heard every single stinking word they said.

And Leslie looked good in that leather.
