I'm not sad to see him go, and I hope hope hope they give Genie a shot without him and independent of him. She had chemistry with Mac back in the day. Sonny too actually but I would not wish that on her ever.

I just don't see Genie and "longterm at GH" ever being in the same sentence again. I also doubt they'd have any interest in exploring Laura independently from her Luke/her family for an extended period of time.

Not that I care as I've never found her to be that great or entertaining as an actress in the first place.

Yeah, he's definitely overstayed his welcome, but part of me is very sad about this. L&L were such a part of my teenage years, and his leaving is just another sign of my bygone youth.

I'd like to delude myself that they will still let her pop up unless she angers them or they have to break the bank to hire Burgess Meredith from Y&R, because technically they never "needed" her for Luke's story to begin with.

It was nice of him to point out that Jane Elliot doesn't get work when he isn't around and that she deserves better, but Luke and Tracy are not a "mature" relationship.

From what he's said over the years, I think Tony agrees with you. He's said many times that Luke should commit suicide.
